Thanks Brad! volleys have almost become a lost art - useful tips for players at all levels. [big + -- a teaching video with the actual credentials for the name dropping]
You don't need credentials for name dropping LOL it's good for anyone to talk and emulate top players. Growing up playing baseball we always would talk and emulate the star players batting stances ect. To see what worked. Now I do it for tennis when I play sets and hit a great shot that looks like a pro would have it I'll say Djokovic or Rafa ect. The sourpuss old guys and the hot shot kids get ticked and I just laugh getting inside their head. LOL the cool guys just look back and laugh knowing it's good fun.
One of the greatest volley coaches in the world, Louis Cayer, teaches all his pupils to punch through the ball, a bit like a boxer hitting his target, you need momentum through the line of the ball for momentum and power
@@stevejeffries5403 true also Rod Laver said to punch the volley quick jab usually slightly slice for control unless it was a floater don't bring the racket past the back shoulder.
