The fact cera gets knockdown by both carno and teno puts him in a big disadvantage in fights given his small hp pool, let’s hope his vomit ability can make up for his squishiness once people master it.
@possiblyfatpigeon nope it has both a damage resistance and bleed resistance, mentioned by the devs themselves, and I'm not referring to the zero damage taken from attacks under a damage threshold while eating, like straight up natural damage resistance
the thing you were saying about him hitting your body and not ur tail, thats already a thing, so if u are inside on someone and bite regular it lands where ur mouth is so for example, if 2 carnos are face to face fighting, if you bite regular it hits their body, but if u alt bit it changes the hit box and makes u hit their head instead, kinda weird
Vro made it look way too easy. Cera can kill a teno there is a video of a guy doing it but you have to waste its stam and then attack the body and head. If it tries to get stam then the vomit wont let it do that. You just need teno to waste its stam which isnt as easy as it sounds
yeah from what i've been seeing it seems like BOTH Troodon and Cera require slowly draining the opponent down until you finally get them to drop. I kind of like the idea since it's very realistic to what many carnivores already do in the wild. Not everyone is a sprinter or a big bully. Some carnivores have to work for their meal a bit more.
Basically can't kill a Tenonto that knows how to play then : Tenonto is too fast and endurant for cerato to catch so it doesn't have to accept the fight, the Teno can just run away never to be seen again and leave the Cera in the dust.
Honestly this might sound stupid but I don’t think it’s tanky enough. The damage is fine but how they hyped its defense doesn’t really match how it is in game. I don’t think it should be able to face tank but at the same time I think it should be able to tank some what would be considerable damage and walk away. I have been torn on how they can achieve this but I have two ideas. One removing getting stunned by creatures the same weight or slightly heavier or two by just upping their health or armor if that is a thing at the moment.
upping their health would make the facetanking a problem again. I think they should make their fracture resist higher and like another comment I saw they should remove the knockdowns on cerato. maybe have it stunned but have a faster recovery time. this way it will feel tanky and able to defend itself, but it would still have the same playstyle without getting bullied. this way it could protect corpses.
I think cerato isnt suppose to be predatory (or at least not as much as carno and omni) I feel like cerato would do a lot better in a defensive position rather than trying to go after something.
No it is very much predatory, almost as much as carno or Omni. We see in its concept art and the trailer for it in combat i hunting just as much as scavenging
@@kmp3-gaming986 rather you like it or not cerato isnt very good at hunting currently. We already have enough hypercarnivore predators planned anyway. The devs themselves said it would be mostly a food-aggressive scavenger better at fighting others to steal food. That original concept is old and concepts are called CONCEPTS for a reason.
Of course it would seem squishy to you : it lost 900 HP compared to it's Legacy version. In Legacy, cerato and carno have about the same HP, here cerato is a lot smaller. It's even 300 HP lower than Tenonto
pretty fair matchup for the attacks. I would honestly just run laps whilst occasionally hitting teno with vomit bite to get rid of its stam then shred it
remember this is stress test so things could change also these are new dinos so people arent super skilled with them yet, unlike teno and carno players as theyve been out for at least a year
ok maybe not 1v1 but on land if theres a couple of ceras maybe, but Ill have to see if thats possible myself lol tried it with carno and its extremely hard to even hit them without being hit in return
I'm liking Cera and troodon cause it's not all about bullying and tanking like the carno. These ones require you to drain em till they drop which I love
I honestly think the only way a cerato would properly win a 1v1 is by ambushing the teno and making it vomit. Which gives it a head start in draining the tenos stam
from all these videos seems like cera is just walking food when solo, lets hope he gets a buff before release wasted potential instead of a threat to carno is just food ...
I mean people dont really know how to use them yet and its not an apex so its not super op plus it can actually kill both teno and carno if played right, well have to see when it becomes public also im sure it might even be able to fight dienos 1v1 as its on their diet
Isle players when they realize Cerato is a moderately sized animal and not a raging death machine (they only cared about it in the first place because they thought it would be the new meta-dominating, press lmb to win, rex lite, apex predator)
Stupid bs , how does this puny kick even Do damage , teno would not even make a cera care if it was realistic , pisses me off that they make some dumb prey animal this strong
@@ligmasphere901 ur missing that big is not the case here, the dumb teno weights even less then a carno so it logically cant rly Do much against a carno with raw strenght, theres by far not enough force in that dumb kick to stun a carno this much and it would sure as hell never kill one
