You might want to watch the other song they did, Barcelona, which is better known. The song was performed by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe, who Freddie declared to be one of the most beautiful women he ever met. Caballe requested that Freddie write a song about her hometown, and he did so, in Barcelona, a song about meeting a lover in a breathtakingly beautiful city.
I wish I could tell you what I'm thinking (and pretty much do every time I watch one of your videos.) but as it is, I will congratulate you on your choice of song here. That album was unlike anything before and certainly we'll never see the like of again. This is the collab to end all collabs. And this video of yours is a keeper. See you again soon!
Hello Tenor!! Hurray .. I love this song off the Barcelona album! Freddie absolutely loved Montserrat, giving her the nickname of Montsy! ❤ Freddie wrote the music & lyrics for most of the songs on the album except for THE GOLDEN BOY & THE FALLEN PRIEST. Freddie collaborated with Mike Moran & elicited the talents of Sir Tim Rice to write the lyrics for the above two songs stating that “Freddie ran out of lyrics”. Love this performance!! Thanks! 🙏🏻
