I understand what you're saying when it comes to how lightweight these trucks are. But for me that's actually a bit of a selling point. I don't consider them too light, especially because it allows me to skate a heavier than normal board. I have 8.5" wide Tensor ATG Maglights on the big Andy Anderson 7-ply board and it works great. Same goes for another setup with an Everslick deck. I also believe for older guys it's beneficial for all kinds of skating, even when it might take some getting used to. As for allowing replacements, yeah good point. I kind of wish all brands would consider that, but at the same time it's sometimes hard enough to get trucks in the correct size, let alone matching spare parts to go with them. Maybe skateboarding isn't big enough for a spare parts approach to trucks (as far as stores having them in stock goes). As for the clicking noises, I believe it's in the pivot cup. But it did go away in my setups. There's definitely not a lot of room for the bushings, so might be related to that and the thread also. I think Tensor ATG Maglight and surprisingly enough the Mini Logo trucks are my current favourites. Also skated Venture and Thunders. Not bad, but I kind of liked Thunder the least out of all of them, despite lots of people really being a fan. I've also skated Independents, but consider them simply overrated. For the most part Ventures felt the same to me. Not necessarily in how they turn or pop exactly, but more like how they're just not like this superior truck compared to others. Different behaviour, but nothing flawless. And I guess that's the difficulty with trucks. It's like 90% just getting used to what you pick and 10% added bonuses of what the truck does best (in Tensor Maglights case, the whole neverending grinding and being lightweight).

I still love my ATG's. ❤️ Love the light weight, the way they turn and especially the grinds. It's so awesome to see an unwaxed curb while cruising through town and questioning: Will it grind? 🤔 Yes it does! 😁 With Tensor Mags. I'm surprised that you mentioned that they are hard to get in the US. Here in Germany they are available in all sizes and colors. Order today get them 2 days later. Apart from that I can relate to what you said. They could be even better by enhancing/changing some stuff. The axle on my back truck is slightly bend on one side. Barely noticeable, but you can tell because you the wheel doesn't slide so easily on the axle as it should when putting it back on. The best marketing they have atm is by BevUp and Dan.

I agree. Dan only skated them for a few videos and went back to independent. It's a good truck just needs improvements.

For all the points you covered that you wanted to change, Mini Logo checks off almost all the boxes except for the magnesium which is the big selling point. That being said, for half the price you can get a lightweight truck with all the things you mentioned you wanted to be changed. I rode Tensor lows back in the early 2000's back when they had the plastic skidplate and I never had any issues with them. When I got back into skating a few years ago I ordered a set of Mag light lows and after a few sessions riding them, I just took them off my board, stored them for a while, and eventually sold them. I just couldn't get into liking this truck even with throwing on some Spitfire conical fulls to counteract the weight. I have a friend who loves his Maglights and recently just got the plain aluminum ones they make as they were way cheaper. Since his hangers are still in decent shape, I told him he should just use the aluminum baseplate and throw the magnesium hangars just to see how the sensation would feel with creating some balance in the truck.

The new all terrains are where it’s at for me. I don’t like low trucks, these are 55mm now. That’s why I don’t like the mini logos, they’re too low

This video needs to get to tensor. You are spot on with this. love tensors for slappy setups but stuck with a seriously bent axle on my 8.5s went ahead and got a set of Indys cause I couldn't find them anywhere and Bev is cruising around on 8.75 or 9.00 which would be the best big egg sloppy truck.

Great video! Totally agree with all of that! Also harder bushings for us 30+ dad bods 🤣🤣 I actually got mine cheap from Thank You when they were having a Labor Day sale. Wanna say it was like $43 shipped for the pair. After skating them for the past 3 weeks or so I have decided to just put them on a dedicated slappy board bc of all the reasons you listed.

Can't agree more. Solid axle and kingpin. Market 159 and 169 sizes. Appeal more to the older curb market. Put some kind of effort into marketing, and even more effort into listening to consumers. They are great for curb skating, and all around skating if you're not hucking off anything huge. Low impact skating is perfect with them. They're great for combining with large heavy wheels, as they offset the lightness of the truck. I've added my own steel rods into the hollow axle, and JB welded them in. Also use 2mm steel risers that my neighbor made for me, to additionally offset lightness. Indy should just make a mag hanger, that would solve the Tensor issue. Also, I recently found that Indy stock bushings and washers work best with the ATGs. You may have to sand down the top bushing if you run your trucks on the looser side.

The original version had solid kingpins and axles too. I love mine but if I was skating curbs I would probably go with something longer lasting. I only skate parks so they don't really wear down much. Dwindle has become a joke. Probably won't be able to get these much longer.

I had my mag light lows for about 2 weeks and loved every minute until i bent both heel side axles skating flat and ledges... Clicking can be fixed by putting a different washer on, i used an old ace trucks washer, they must just be out of tolerance from factory. Wholeheartedly agree with everything you said, grind awesome, light, low kingpin but damn they broke quick

Hmm. My ordering from thank you supply hasn’t been that bad. It was only a wait time of a couple of days when I ordered the trucks that were on sale. I think their marketing is stuck in the early 2000s. They’re great at email notifications. Everything else not so much.

I appreciate this review but I respectfully disagree with you on this one.. Not sure what happened with your order from Thank You Supply...I've really got nothing but praises to say for them and their customer service. Ordered twice from there, both came in normal shipping times. One order actually said was delivered by UPS but I never saw it at my front door...really don't think it was Thank You Supply's fault as the tracking info was all there so not exactly sure what happened. BUT!...this order from them was for 2 trucks and after they never showed up and I was trying to file a claim with UPS, Thank You Supply's customer service promptly got back to me thru email and fully refunded my order for both trucks(!!) even though I'm almost 100% sure it wasn't even their fault! Also, about them being too light..idk, I for one like that their baseplate is also magnesium and that they got the hollow axle and kingpin. I'm on the lighter side bodywise and don't jump down too much stuff anymore so I'm hoping my axles stay straight but after all, this truck's whole thing is on it being the lightest on the market and to see it get any heavier would be a shame imo. Also, I truly could care less about their marketing and social media. If they keep making a good product that does what it's intended and advertised for, then Tensor will keep having my business no matter what Joey and their instagram are looking like lol. But hey, just my 2 cents and felt compelled to reply as I dig your channel but as previously stated, have also really been digging these Mag Lights just the way they are and personally will be continuing to buy them and support! ✌
