I have heard many concert violinists (including Yehudi Menuhin) play this work by Mendelssohn and yours is the best and most inspired performance - it sounds incredible that I would say that but it is TRUE. Bravo Teo!!!
Such a magnificent concerto should be performed much more often. In Teo's sublimely gifted hands, it really comes to life. Thank you, Teo Gertler and the superb Accademia d’Archi Arrigoni. Dear Teo, This is the second performance of Mendelssohn's violin works that I have experienced by your musical expression. Apart from the occasional piece I hear on Classical Radio station, I have not known much of Mendelssohn's work before now; but I have a good ear and I know beauty when I hear it.
