Nope, we do our reviews first before any other video shows as it helps to make sure past drinks and tastes don't impact the review too much. So yeah, we're sober, we're just stupid.

tequila officianados? Where? I hope you're not talking about us. Because, to start... this is my youtube channel, I create video's with friends and have done so for nearly 13 years. At no point, none, have I ever attempted or told anyone I'm a professional -- nobody pays me to sip tequila and if I'm not being paid to sip tequila, I cannot see how I (or anyone in the same situation) can call themselves an "aficionado" or a "professional" or anything else. I am qualified, however, to give my opinion to the fans of our channel. They know our taste, our history and our preference. If it helps them or entertains them, I've done my job. Anyone who sees it as anything else? Those are people who think I care about their opinions or their opinions of me, which I don't. They, however, can get their own channel and share their opinions, maybe they'll get subscribers that care -- but if they don't, perhaps nobody gives a shit about their opinion lol.
I disagree teremana is a must have for your bar... especially the repo. And yes I drink tons of different 100% Agavé tequilas. definitely better than the basic espolons or lunazul or hornitos or 512. I however don’t care about the rock, but sipping it’s a cheap sipper.
I would put it above espolon (never was a fan), but lunazul, I can't...only because we did the blind tasting and didn't pick Teremana above it (without any other bias). So, just based on my tasting experiences at the $30 pricing, it's just not worth the standard "stock my bar" buy. Without the blind, I'd probably have to agree
@@cmcocktails I can respect that. I too actually find lunazul underrated and most people don’t even know about it but regardless of who made it teramana is a fine addition at least the repo is. Waiting on the Anejo

IMHO, there's better traditionally made tequilas under $40 than Teremana: Yeyo, Arette, Suerte, and Tequileno to name a few using Old Town Tequila as a price reference. With regard to CABO, once Sammy Hagar sold out to Gruppo Campari around 2010, Cabo unfortunately changed forever. Since then Cabo has gone through multiple changes; bottle, label designs and juice. If you come across any, the quality stuff the afficianados crave is in bottles with a "lighthouse" depicted on the label. There were 2 different styles. If you can find some old stuff, I bet it would be an awesome side by side comparison.☺ Also, I heard 901 shouted in the background. One may want to be careful as that is Justin Timberlake endorsed and diffuser made.🤷♂️
ah, 901 is diffuser made, where did you find that info (they have a diffuser on site?) Also, I wish I didn't finish my old bottle of cabo lol, I was unaware they changed the recipe...was this to bring up margins? Seems like a really bad idea to alter a recipe for a brand you purchased...because people loved it. You ruin the name.
@@cmcocktails , @Common Man Cocktails , with regard to 901, I should have prefaced my statement. I have not visited the distillery; therefore, I have not seen a diffuser. Discussed in other forums, when it was under NOM 1173 it was autoclave made and a much better product. When NOM 1102 took over (Suaza) it went diffuser (around 2012'ish) and begin adding smoothing agents (additives) as a cost savings. With regard to Cabo they are now under their 4th NOM. Although they still make an ok product, it pales in comparison to the old days. They went from stone brick oven cooking and copper pot distillation, to autoclave and stainless steel. Like a few other brands, Cabo is riding the glory of the past and it's name. Hell... Sammy's bars (Cabo Wabo which he still owns) are still raking in the cheddar🧀. Industry wide, the high agave interest coupled by the agave shortage is major proponent as to why distilleries are seeking other ways to advance margins. Heck... the CRT a few years back revised the norma to allow 1% mellowing agents per bottle volume. That includes glycerin (better mouth fill), sugar, carmel (coloring), vanilla, and other. There is some discrepancy that when the norms was changed it could be interpreted that it could allow 1% per additive. Sorry for the rambling. not rambling, it's just information I can absorb, learn and repeat to others. I wasn't following cabo, I didn't realize their NOM switching, but that was the main reason I had asked about the recipe change, when they move around I would imagine the recipe changes as part of the move (unless you move NOM's for some other reason besides ingredient pricing). I've not had 901 since forever, but thats the issue with reviewing, it's only good until someone changes their NOM/recipe. I had to pull Senor Frogs tequila review down because they had moved from 100% de agave to mixto and they wanted me to "re-review" their product, which was a pleasant way of saying to "rate accordingly", I rated it as deleted :) I wasn't going to review a mixto so it made no sense to bother with their label anymore. But, as a good general rule, once you go Sauza, you are probably going diffuser. If you're looking for someone to give you top billing with real process, it's probably not a brand with at least 3 flagship products.
Never new before you guys about the freezer and alcohol. Granted I only put vodka in the freezer. I know I own vodka sorry it's a good neutral! I love the Rock but as a actor. Being older I remember wrestling from the 70s and it was terrible. Lol 😆
I sell tequila, they do not know anything about tequilas or spirits. To like Cabo Wabo. Worst tequila on the market. Look on the reviews, not just my opinion. 👎

Labeling this prominently as "gluten free" is stupid as hell. No distilled liquor contains gluten and 99% of all who think they have a gluten allergy do not. That's like the non-GMO label, both insult the intelligence of educated consumers.
This stuff sucks. Love the Rock, but this was a phoned in, cut-rate tequila with deceptive marketing and packaging. Just another in a long stream of lame celebrity offerings- Casamigos, Cincoro, E40, etc. Way better traditional offerings to be had for same or less money.

@@cmcocktails yes, but not all who react differently are as educated and experienced in the subject matter. Someone who has never had Fortaleza, G4, or Cascahuin, doesn't know tequila is made, etc, could never have the barometer necessary to declare to accurately assess Teremana.
