i remember over a decade ago i would listen to tmckenna lectures constantly. every night before bed, or while driving, or at work. it's been years since i listened to him regularly like that because i've already heard every recording of his out there multiple times already. but still when i come back to listen on occasion his words still resonate with me just the same. it's like re-visiting a certain part of my own conscious that's always there but just latent and waiting to be observed. kind of like time travel.
I’ve never really listened to Terence McKenna,, I used to think that he was just a guy who travelled to countries to experience the psychedelic substances of said countries!but I find that he is a true guru/genius!

I see both the America/the west and it's enemies fairly equally. To say Russia or China or whoever else you may have in mind is a fascist state and America isn't is simply foolish. Suggesting these physical wars are spiritual wars is in my view a cop out. The real war is within and every man and woman must face that so we can stop fighting with each other. This is the journey each soul is on as far as I can tell. If your vision and truth is different than mine I'm okay with that.
Been listening to untold hours of McKenna for over a decade, and never heard this clip before. And now today, when a new war starts, it pops into my feed? Strange.
Terrence, you have touched my life and you have no idea what you’ve done for me. I never met you but I miss you dearly, I can only imagine the impact you’ve had, I’ll will make sure to contribute to that impact and continue your legacy.

@@moormanjean5636 Clear communication would be my idea of the easy way. If we could just learn how to speak to each other so that others hear what we're saying we could resolve these conflicts in a mutually beneficial way.
It's not just age old conflict of misunderstanding. Some people are pathological and a few bad apples spoil the bunch. All nations on earth have to waste resources because there is a hitler or a stalin or a mao popping up once in awhile and threatening everyone else around.
We are also barely progressing in the material sense. Besides semiconductors, technology has been largely stagnant for a hundred years. The enemy is also actively working to bring back feudalism and thus, mass poverty is back on the menu.

Trump, Putin, Xi Jinping, Sadam Hussain, Kim Jong-Un, etc. These are all pathological psychotic egoists you can't cooperate with and the only language they speak is overwhelming violence. And they threaten international institutions that protect the sanctity of the individual and global prosperity - things that are paramount to our progress. Companies are not the core reason for military warfare (Maybe primarily for U.S., but not entirely at all). Geopolitics are, influenced by leader personalities. Yes, capitalism slowly kills itself but in a way that erodes the middle and lower classes. Death and destruction is not determined by leaders of industry but policy makers, and policy makers will have different agendas from leaders of industry, although not all the time. My issue with pro-peace and spirituality individuals is not that they are right about trajectories, but that they are hopelessly ignorant of history, geopolitics, and the pragmatisms of a world that operates on game theory and not ideals.
Terrence in my belief was one of the top 5 to 10 intellectuals of all time. What a giant. Im working on something very very almost unimaginable but nevertheless apparently, so....if anybody is reading this, who would be a person to contact, if a person had a provable theory not yet out
I see what you mean with Terence being one of top intellectuals humanity has produced, but I don't think intellectuality is measureable, not even in the abstract complexety of your believesystem. Thank you for this video. Terence McKenna's words transcend space and time. Although I consider myself an optimist who will remain hopeful in spite of it all, I feel more and more that we may never find our way out from the narcissistic, sociopathic, macho Dominator realm in time. My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine and for us all.
It needs to get this bad before we fix ourselves! People NEED to believe that all the degradation we're experiencing is a necessary part of the human story, or else this salvation that we're striving for will never happen. Imagine a world where, instead of seeing what's happening now as the unnecessary and abnormal culmination of all our stupidity exploding in our faces, the ultimate waste of anything good about humanity at the hands of everything bad about it, we see it instead as a vital 'close-call' where we really got to know just how bad things can get out here. Think about human nature: we're never content to simply be told not to do something, we need to SEE the consequences. It's the apple in the garden. And in my opinion we need to start embracing something like this now because what's holding people back from bettering things is the idea that "we've screwed up so badly already, might as well go the whole way". And to anyone tempted to comment "this is just baseless optimism": yes, you're correct. You don't get it though. Baseless optimism is all we've got left, but that might actually work in our favour. The children of any future utopia need to be able to read back and see how badly it is possible for humanity to fuck up. That said, let's stop fucking up RIGHT ABOUT NOW!

I was 2-3 years old in Kuwait during the gulf war. While the older generation is still riddled with unhealed trauma I have no right to minimize, what I remember distinctly from that war was how it ended, after Iraq finally withdrew their troops. I remember people partying in the desert for what seemed like days, even with the sky and soil black with fires and smoke from the burned oil refineries. People were parading, I was propped on endless laps of scary US soldiers for photos. People sang and danced and made memes about Saddam even while mourning the deaths of their loved ones and PoWs. What I want to say is, Ukrainians and everyone affected by the Russian invasion will absolutely endure a lot AND (not but. they go hand in hand) there is so much to protect and appreciate about humans and our communities that no trauma can dissociate you from completely. They can take your home, displace your whole community even, but Absolutely No One has the ability to rob you of your Choice to stay human and you can parade it right in their greedy, homophobic faces any day you choose to! and it WILL be a celebration you'll remember for decades to come.
I am from Ukraine and this is a completely different situation, and we are very grateful to the US for supporting, I wonder what Terence would say about it now

@@Yabbadabbado0 yes actually lol, war was taught to humanity at a stage where they couldn’t really comprehend it. If you choose to perceive this coming war it’s your choice, you’re free to, but you’re also free to perceive the reality where the war doesn’t come to fruition. Most of the people that die there will live on in another reality where things went slightly differently so as to keep them alive regardless, you’ll never perceive your own death because then there would be no point to your existence. It’s hard to explain unless I go down into your subjective reality. Like think of my vessel here in your reality as a placeholder, you can let anything happen to me and it’ll happen in your reality but not mine unless I also want said event to transpire, then both of our perceptions align and we experience the same reality. This is why it’s best to live and let live, let everyone stay in their realities, they’re just passing you by attempting to make you perceive their reality so why feed into negativity and perpetuate a cycle when you can spread positivity and break the cycle. All that matters is what you choose to perceive.
I’m genuinely curious as to what you think “another woodstock” would accomplish? McKenna is literally stating in this video how “they didn’t hear us... no faction was overridden, nobody's rights were trampled, we the people of the United States by some staggering percentage approved of this (the gulf war)...” And that’s not even to say that the hippies of the 60’s and 70s were sent to the gulag or gotten rid of, that generation was intact and well, it’s just that their message was not sustained in any meaningful way... So what exactly would another woodstock accomplish?
@@Colesalad McKenna was brilliant, but there were things about the way the world works, the way that it's been controlled and manipulated for thousands of years, that he couldn't have possibly known in 1991. This was just starting to become clear at the time of his death. Now we can see that the psychedelic movement of the sixties really was a threat to the death cult that has ruled the world, which is why the deep state infiltrated and subverted it with agent provocateurs. Now we realize that we can't depend on heroes to swoop down like a deus ex machina and save us. Now we realize that we need to awaken the god within each of us and save ourselves.

I love Terrence but he should know better than anyone the universe of dualism is overcome when one achieves balance! Meaning embracing the reality and necessity of violence and war and peace and love. It’s all one they go together.
McKenna's spirit has managed to lodge itself to the greatest archive humanity has yet known. I wonder how much he was aware of (or speculated) this possibility as he was participating in these talks? His ghost haunts this earth in the best way possible.
@@R-Sin Agreed. So many of these talks were done at rather exclusive retreats for the well to do. It's a damn miracle somebody had the foresight to record them and then an act of Providence those recordings lasted long enough to be digitized.
