For those who are able, while taking only acceptable legal risks or none at all, I encourage you to explore psychedelic experience on your own. Grow your own. A lot of good info, and spores, are out there to help with that. Pre-made substrates are also available at relatively low prices, and they tend to be rather inexpensive compared to what you may experience by using them intelligently. You will, however, likely experience growing failures along the way. Do not let that stop you. Keep going. You will not regret it. Learn, and keep on.
@@sumedhpulipaka6371 There's something to be said about mental health and getting lost in a social economic system based around controlling what you can say, do, drink, eat, smoke. We are not really autonomous as we once thought. You lose a little bit of yourself Everytime you give into deeply caring about if trump did this, or Hillary did that. You're not an autonomous individual, you are consuming their culture, trying to fit into their rules. Doing their part. There's a mental barrier that mushrooms/lsd kinda help break down. It's not magic, it just lets you see that the mind works in different ways. Maybe one could be more introspective on their own thoughts and feelings, or even comprehend what someone else could be going through. Once you been through a trip, none of it makes sense. But the world around you starts seeming a little less chaotic and lets you see through the veil so to speak.
@@ingots4353 So you're saying this effect that the psychedelics give you lasts for a lifetime? One dosage of LSD or psylocibin can liberate you from the control? I have a different perspective, you need to be in control so that reality makes sense. You need to be a part of the program so you can enjoy life. Why do you feel good when you succeed? It gives you a(false) sense of importance in this world. If you take that element away then working towards it makes no sense
@@sumedhpulipaka6371 I don't think any person can gather that kind of perspective from one dosage. I don't even think everyone would benefit from it. Depends on the person, where they are in their life, how they are holding up mentally. And control is such a harsh word and totalitarian. I guess I could say we act culturally as one, conforming to one of another for the chance of sneaking in some of our personal opinions and ideas in there to try to be heard/understood. I think part of that equation is to take you out of your control. If you think you are in control, everything is good there's no reason to ask why is it that way.
I'm fascinated how psylacybin affects people differently. When I do 5g....no one I know who does the same experiences the fanfuckentastic closed eye intense melt my mind away alter dimension visuals that I do. I know alot of people really enjoy an open eye external stimulation trip, but for me it's all about closed eye mega visuals along with deeper intense thought and messages from these beings...the mushrooms. It peels all of the layers of my own stacked perceptions of me and my life away and it eletrocutes me with a truth that I can't deny...and it's sometimes a hard rock to swallow. Like Terence, I do actually believe that there is most certainly an intelligence living and breathing in the mushroom itself. I have no idea who or what or why it is, but when I consume them, they consume me and explore my mind and Then they show me what I apparently want and or need to be shown.

Columbus story got me thinking of 'Edge Of The World' Trivia: Artists in the middle ages used to carry glass lenses often to use as a kind of projection screen to aid in painting, drafting, copying etc. The Church was of the opinion that the lenses were portals to other worlds. One could be put to death for just having a glass lense in your pocket. Funny how all these unknown worlds are so very closely guarded, until they're 'flagged' by the men in ships.

However, I'm open to being wrong, and I'd happily take a look at any historical evidence you could provide for this. The reason I don't believe this is true though is because historically, the development of lenses was for the most part carried out by religious men/institutions. From the monocle to telescopes, lenses were crafted to better read the word of God or indeed, to look into the heavens. And so this, obviously, directly contradicts the notion of church/state superstition you've put forth. My point here isn't to simply disagree with you, it is to bring to your attention that you've perhaps reached your final thought/revelation through a belief in false facts. I would urge you to be mindful of the problematic nature of false beliefs and keep to your epistemic responsibility..
I love this video, if watched every Terence Mckenna video I possibly could over the years on RU-vid and psychedelic saloon, and this hits home with me. It concludes everything I think about psychedelics because of Terence. And to the average person this clip is literally incomprehensible
To grasp the completeness of what he said here... is in itself a gift. Yo have to have been diving around for a while in linguistic inefficacy, limits of the mind,the existence of the divine and the conception of psychedelic experience as an unblocking of access to real stuff, not sheer hallucinative ideation.

I would really love it if someone could tell me when he said all of this. I have to listen to the rest of the talk he gave this day as it's something I need to hear. Which lecture was this? I keep coming across people who speak of a need for a new language. I however don't see anything on the horizon that would allow us to expand the western mind's ideas of acceptable reality. I think that humanity has a special gift of being able to shape the world with our imagination. Now how do we go about letting our imagination come to fruition in easier and easier ways? I guess our answer so far has been technology. So then what is the correct path for our technology to express the human imagination? All we really seem to want to do is try to pursue profit and to make ourselves more comfortable while destroying our own habitat. I should say the monolithic capitalist corporations and world governments that are just being maintained by the professional classes are driving the future of our technology and therefore humanities creative potential. What world are we even creating anymore? It seems like we're on the path to a future similar to the Pixar film WALL-E, and that's terribly frightening. If you bothered to read this, thank you for indulging me. I'm just babbling, but I hope you have many wonderful moments filled with love and joy with the people you hold dear. Maybe we can right this ship yet!

I have a hard time understanding TM's notions of "reverse of syntax" in the psychedelic experience, and language in general. Could anybody send me a link to an explanatory video/recommend a book or just straight up explain this to me? I'm relatively familiar with psycholinguistics but this is the one point where he leaves me hangin.

I came off a trip on psychedelic mushrooms a couple of hours ago and I had the experience where words, and the complicating of words in terms of Understanding didn't mean as much. You simply operate with different tools which I guess is this so called hyper-syntax. I would also like to delve into this matter more. Hope I made myself clearer, as this is quite a complex topic, and English is not my native tongue. Cheers.
