I never thought Whitney looked anything like Cissy, so I was always waiting to see what her father looked like. I remember Chrissy love movies and now that I've actually got see these old videos of Teresa!!there is no doubt in my mind she is Whitney's mom. Her looks, voice her movement her curl of her lips when she talks. It's too strong for her not be. She got shades on and you still get Whitney vibes.

I have watched this video several times, even with my eyes closed and all I can hear is Whitney Houston...the voice, the smile, her laugh, her playfulness, her slim physique, her teeth, mouth..Everything!!!
My favorite thing about Whitney's singing was the unique pleasant tone her voice produced whenever she was belting. I can hear it in Teresa's "o" and "a". Wow with a liitle more work...goes to show that Whitney truly was a vocal genius. She exploited her talent to it's fullest potential. I just learnt something because it couldn't just be hardwork but the God given instinct to know how to work!
This is so sad. She didnt die until 2002. It must have been so hard for Whitney to live without having a relationship with her. If she had continued in showbiz, this would have certainly come out.
Why is this so scary and fascinating to me! It makes so much sense though. If Whitney's father got Teresa pregnant she would have been 15 at the time and in those days they hid young pregnant girls away until they gave birth and let the child be raised by a family member or adoption. It checks out because Whitney doesn't look anything like her mother or her brothers. It's amazing how much of Teresa is in almost everything Whitney does. I am so invested!!

I agree that this is Whitney Houston’s mom. If you watch Whitney Houston’s interviews, she says, “ You know” at the end of her sentences and so does Teresa Graves in this interview. Just another thought on the similarities.
This story just makes Whitney’s life way more sadder. Not to know your real parents is disheartening. She turned to drugs to dull the emotional pain. She was too nice for the life she endured. A true mother protects her children. Whitney was totally drained by her fake family. All they wanted was her money. The family tried to blame everything on Bobby. He was young and not from her world.
In all the interviews I watched after Whitney transitioned, Cissy always felt cold to me - like detached, so this sort of makes sense - that Teresa Graves is her mother. Who knows if we’ll ever know the truth… it’s not our business to know, but Whitney Houston is my favorite. I’ve loved her since I was about 5/6 when I first heard her music. I cried when she transitioned and sometimes I still do cry about her. Seeing Teresa Graves makes me cry now. I think this is her mother. And I don’t like to speculate or go down rabbit holes, but if this is true this humanizes Whitney even more. I’ll always love her. I never idolized her… I never will. She’s not a god to be worshipped. She was a human being and a gift to our world, and I don’t think she was cared for properly.
