Your hatred of broccoli always baffles me. I get it, I hate cilantro and everyone else I know loves it. But, broccoli is such a great vehicle for sauces! The tops soak up so much juicy goodness in whatever dish I have it in!
Ashley Jackson I can understand if it was because the stereotypical Western preparation of broccoli is to steam it to within an inch of it’s life until it’s limp (like I remember from school lunches), but Chinese stir fried broccoli with just some garlic is amazing, even if you don’t throw some meat in there as well
That's true. About the saucy soaker (lmao). I'm pretty picky when it comes to broccoli. Absolutely not raw. And IF I have it in a dish it has to be cooked just right. If the...uh...trunk(?) is still tough then it definitely has not been cooked well enough!

So glad you've discovered our beloved teriyaki. For years I've had it at least four times a week. There are so many good places....all in little strip malls. Kind of like coffee .For a while there were three within a few minutes of my office...and I noticed that the best places were dumpy. And you got a glimpse of the mountain!
I met my boyfriend of three years in Seattle, and his parents live in Kirkland. We were just there five days ago! Trippy, seeing Mike there and recognizing stuff. Tho, I've never been to this teriyaki place, will try next time we visit! Thanks always for the pointers Mike!

I live in Seattle, so your videos these past couple months have been introducing me to so many new places! I need to try dumpling the noodle and teriyaki plus! They are both in areas I frequent and didn’t know existed.

Teriyaki Plus is my favorite teriyaki restaurant!!! I'm so glad it's getting the love it deserves! I always introduce my friends to it, it's just such a small hole in the wall place that's excellent!

Hey, Mike!!! Thank you for the beautiful shot of my mountain!! The Mountain was out that day, and she was gorgeous!! I've been living in Maine for over 30 years and will be moving back to Tacoma in about a year or so to help out my parents, and give a little relief to my youngest sister. Glad to see these types of vids, because I can have a little bit of a head's up as to where to get yummy food once I am home again! Keep up the good work!!

Next time get the pork teriyaki at Teriyaki Plus, it's my favorite. Also, you need to do a grocery run to Uwajimaya in Bellevue or international district.
I live literally two minutes from Teriyaki Plus, they have really solid teriyaki and their spicy garlic chicken is my favorite. The garlic sauce is an awesome addition too, their prices are a bit higher than most normal teriyaki places but you get really huge portions.
We're in the Seattle area and after you posted going to H mart had to go to H mart for the first time and had an amazing dinner of take home stuff and got tons of groceries. It was so nice and simple to not have to cook from scratch! We love your videos :)
I feel like you've only scratched the surface when it comes to the Teriyaki around the eastside and puget sound. I've been to that Teriyaki Plus and its pretty good, but I'd like to see a video comparing every Teriyaki joint in a single town. Even the small rural towns will have like 5 or 6 Teriyaki spots.
I prefer the lamb bowl from Shawarmaniac next door or the spicy teriyaki from I love Teriyaki just down the road. Those are what got me through LWTech classes for 2 years.
@@auberginebear Clouds I can put up with, rain not so much I hate driving when it rains lol. But watching this video gives me a reason to visit someday, we hardly have teriyaki resturants, we're all about the tacos lol
Hey Mike! I have a suggestion: what if you set up some sort of a stable setup/table in the backseat of your car so that you're able to review food within your car without the worry of spilling it? Love your content and keep up the good work

It’s so exciting to see him go to places I’ve been too! I’ve been to that ramen restaurant right next to that bakery he got his bubble tea at! I went late that evening and thought I could get something at the bakery afterwards, but everything was already gone. It’s nice to see what’s actually offered since Mikey went during the day. I wish I could go back and enjoy all the food there, but I’m stuck living in Chicago for now 🙃

Mr. Chen been the shows for some time however have finally had a reason comment . I'm an ex kirklander and have had the best best bestest experience at a local Teriyaki shop known as TOSHIS TERIYAKI . Honestly if theirs is ever a chance i highly recommend this family owned establishment . As always take care be safe in these crazy days. Peace

Wow! When I went to the college up the hill, I used to eat at Teriyaki Plus about once a week. I want back a year or two ago and the prices are still great and the portions shockingly generous. We do have lots of good teriyaki around Seattle but this is definitely my favorite. Thanks for reminding me to have lunch there again soon!

I dont get your hatred for broccoli. It's one of my favorite veggies, especially in saucey dishes. Its holds the sauce really well and soaks it in. Hell just some sauteed or broiled broccoli alone is great.
