Try the Marina ending if the 3rd book can be found. If you stop carrying the blanket and pillow during the day, will that reduce overburden...? Maybe fuel for the vehicle is a high priority so travel is faster, and storage is also available.

Feels like the game wants you to sail - considering you suddenly have 2/3 of the manuals, and the base is very close to the marina.

once you can get a farm up and running with a few traps, ESPECIALLY if you have a park nearby, it feels pretty smooth. the house that was settled feels perfect: nearby park for water and (sometimes) fish, limited entrances (both for threats and more farmable tiles), and a nearby trade partner. it'd be interesting to mass some food to stockpile some fuel to drive around.

Go for the 'survive x many days' achievement. Create your own fortified farming empire.

1 (2 weight) plank can actually be dismantled into 2 sticks (0.6 weight) for 1 ap. Most recipes call for either 1 plank/2 sticks OR 1 of either, so you can even save on ingredients. If you don't plan on using the plank for boarding doors, or for making specific recipes that call for a plank only, then dismantling into sticks is the way to go. Way lighter to carry, and you can craft more stuff.

Curse you, RU-vid recommendations! I was tricked into watching episodes 8, 10 and 12 in bed, wondering why I had no recollection of things that apparently had happened (in episodes 9 and 11 😄). I thought that I had fallen asleep at the end of the last episode, but now I find out that I was misled by the almigthy algorithm. Oh well, time to catch up while drinking my morning beverage (the one that must not be named 😁). Thank you for the series. 💛

I'm loving this series. It started to drag when you added a second character but you've gotten very good at doing the cuts to keep things hopping.

I'd say try to build a little base setup and survive for x amount of days and then head of for the Terminus ending.. I'd like to see the other ending too for sure, but Terminus is the most intriguing to me, just because Terminus sounds mysterious :)

In Fallout, it is canon in the first game that some of the meat that the street vendor in Junktown sells is human, which you find out by climbing down the ladder next to him and rooting around. How you handle the info thereafter is player choice, including persuading the vendor to blackmail. Canonically, whatever he sold it as is in fact human throughout the rest of the games. I don’t recall the Amazon series having done this yet, unless that episode where the ghoul eats the fresh-turned feral ghoul is an oblique reference.

Ah yes, a bass that weighs 2.5! What a lunker! Does the game say what 2.5 weight is? I propose the water bottle form of weights and measures. Most water bottles are a pint (20 oz in the most perfect Heathen units) which are about 0.68 kg (1.5 lbs in FREEDOM) which makes the fish about 3.75 lbs in water bottle units, so not bad!

Since you aspouse to something called freedom units you are an American, and I hear you have and use/buy 2L soft drink bottles over there. So you are likely familiar with Liter measurements/weights. You could simplify all of this for yourself and take 1L=1Kg, which in all likelihood is the actual weight measurement used in this game, as it also uses the Km measurement for distance rather than this weird mi (I had to quickly google what the abbreviation for a mile is. Silly non-free health people still clinging to some old monarchy approved systems pretty much by themselves...).

It's too late now that I've fallen behind to chime in on what ending to go for (though I'm happy with any regardless!), so I'll just say that in my own copy of the game (which I bought on the strength of this LP), I've been trying to speed-run to Terminus to build up prestige points so I can finally do a slow play where I dig in somewhere and make farms; etc while I work my way towards one of the other endings and achievements. I've completed 3 runs with 4 total survivors so far and am starting to get into the more interesting professions and bonuses - so it's definitely fun! Thanks again for bringing my attention to the game!

I'd be curious to see how renewable you could get food with traps/gardening, and seeing how much you can scout/discover - maybe tracking down the chopper, and getting further with the fortified houses.

It's probably possible, but considering the number of locations checked so far and only 1 meeting he probability seems to be quite low.

It wouldn't make sense to filet a Smelt at all. They are about the same size as a Sardine. Best to just gut them and fry them whole. (I know some don't even gut them)

Still not convinced the enormous amount of time you have to sink into fishing (not even counting the ressources to make bait) is worth the few fish you get - especially compared to traps which you just have to set and collect later. Since you have food and water basically on *renewable* now the greatest bottleneck right now seems to be weapons. Sure you can break down furniture to get planks and make spears but that is still finite, and zombies don't seem to be, so tarrying too long is probably not a good idea... Do zombie spawns increase with time or are they constant? If they do, do they increase in number or in strength? I've googled the other three endings and neither seem to be realistic at this point...
