Thanks for a great video. I bought a pair of Tern D8s for my Wife and me and we love them. We are advancing in years and didn't favour the idea of lifting regular bikes onto bike racks on the car. The two D8s fold and fit easily into the back of a compact Peugeot 107. Here in England the rear rack was not provided as standard, but we haven't missed that feature. Only one minor negative point, the bell really sucks man ! :)

Thank you for informative video on the D8. Your report has helped me to decide to buy one. To include the attractions of Calgary is great. I can see parts of Canada in a everyday format. Hope to get there one day from Australia

I bought the Link D8 in 2013. It's white with orange accents ....I don't think they offer this colour match anymore. Last summer of 2015 I added a rear mount BionX e-bike kit and I love it. I've also changed the seat and seat post this summer. I've added the front truss to attach the L-shape rack or the basket. Cool bike.

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Do you think the Tern Link D8 can be used for bicycle touring? I'm planning to bike around the Philippines with backpacking gears, camera gears and a small guitar. I'm a small guy with the height of 5.1ft, I'm also practicing to minimalism with my travel so I'll definitely try to pack light. I'd love to know your opinion if this bike is capable of long term travel. Thank you.

+Tyrone Daroca, it depends how you travel. The D8 had 8 speed, good enough for most metro city that are flat. But if you plan to ride the bike outside of city, specially if you know that you will have a lot of hill to climb, you may consider D16 with 16 speed or P24, that 24 speed. I also recommend combine with Burley Travoy trailer. We have customers use those trailer and travel around the world. I myself had also used Travoy trailer as carry-on. Those combine of equipment will allow you to do a lot during travel.

Yes I'm planning to ride it outside the city. As you can imagine Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands in Asia so there'd be hills, mountains and uneven terrains. The P24H is too expensive for me so maybe I'll just go with the D16. There are no reviews of it here on youtube. I'd appreciate if you do a review of the link D16 like what you did on this video. Thank you very much! More power!

+Tyrone Daroca To be honest, what you have described, the P24H will is the most suitable for the job. It already had rack that you can carry luggage to travel around. The same bike in 2016 model will be price at $2,500. The D16, is almost like the D8. But it was designed more for speed and city. The bonus part, it had 16 speed, but no rack or fender. And it come with racing slick tires. good for city, but not so good for sand or gravel. If you are in Calgary, you should come in and try it out.

I've been riding this bike for about a month ru-vid.comUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
