In this video we review the Canadian TERNION T870 and T870-1
a Canadian Shotgun company that's bringing 870 pattern shotguns into Canada with a variety of different configuration and options. but how good are they?

Why the vector Frenzy? well this specific frenzy isnt only ideal for this specific purpose but its variable reticle options provide from a 2 moa red dot to a 52 moa "circle dot" type reticle that proves ideal for shotgun type rifles.

From Ternion The T870-1 is a pump shotgun with a 12Ga. internal magazine that chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells.
The barrel is fitted with a heat shield on it, and there is a Picatinny rail on the heat shield. There is an adjustable rear sight on the receiver. The stock and fore-end are made of black polymer. There is a delicate molded anti-slip pattern at the PISTOL GRIP which makes it more comfortable to hold.

Hi, David from Ternion here. Any questions from viewers, please ask! Thanks Alex for the great video! Glad you like the guns. You're correct about the barrel. Rem 870 barrels go more easily onto the T870-1 with the lug/band being further back on the mag tube and a "sleeve" on the mag tube and screw cap holding it all snug in place. We've seen customers put on 870 barrels this way.

Hi Alex - I expect the Ternion shotguns will be extremely durable. I have a Harrington and Richardson Pardner Pump, which was made by Hawk Industries as well. I've had it since 2017, and never an issue. It is similar to the Blueline shotguns too (like runrun8239 says), but with a slightly different receiver shape. They are absolute tanks, very well made, and extremely reliable. Ternion turned up the volume with some flashy and very cool options, but the basic shotguns are imho a very sturdy build. Reviews of the H&R Pardner pump shotguns were far more favorable than the 870 Express of the day, so I would expect the same for the Ternion ones. Great review and great shotgun. If there is one downside (at least for mine), it's a 28" barrel and weighs a ton. I like that. But it's exhausting for clays.

These 870 clones are made by Qiqihar Hawk Industries (齐齐哈尔雄鹰警用器械厂) in Northeastern China (just a few miles from Russia lol). According to the info online this is the only factory in China making shotguns for the military and police force. Interestingly the original milspec Chinese shotguns are chambered with 18.4mm cartridges which are slightly bigger than the regular 12 gauge shells, which makes those true "milspec guns" unusable here in Canada (and in any other parts of the world). For this reason the factory has a separate production line making those 12 gauge 870 clones for export only.

Thanks for sharing your experience. This and Blueline 870 are technically come out of the same place with Blueline being more of traditional basic shotguns and Ternion being more tactical.

Hey I know this is a shotgun video, but could you do a video on the RUGER SFAR 20” barrel. There’s lots of videos on it but you’re about the only one I trust as a shooter for an accuracy standard on RU-vid reviews. Would be really cool.

Looks a lot like my Escort Slugger, made in Turkey, by Hatsan Arms. (Bud's had them for $139US. sick. sorry to my Canadian friends) This looks like one of the few guns I could actually cross the border into Canada with. (?)

The domestic firearm manufacturers in Canada really should figure out a way to cut down their overheads.. or they are done by standing no chance in the market competition with these Chinese imports.

Yup they're, so don't buy it if that really bothers you. Also you can help defund CCP and Xi Jinping by boycotting a variety of stuff such as the computer chip of your F-150 and chemotherapy medications.
