I remember the first time I came to this map, I was there for 5 hours helping people out and such... late into the night. That background music definitely does lull you to sleep!
yeah but ngl tho ngl tho comparing this to fnaf and Freddy fazbear as ur alarm is like leaguessss apart. bro how tf did u sleep?! that shii would kept me awake all night and had me waking up like 😶
This map really tests ones ability to remember to backtrack to past areas, like older rpg games. I took like 3 hours to finish it and had to find the last one or two in videos like this because of areas I just forgot I saw and catalogued in my head... Loved it anyways. My only criticisms are that the grappling hooks feel awful to use, and that the World description implied something notable happens at the end, but it was pretty lackluster.
Agreed that the grappling hook took some getting used to for me but I can fly pretty freely with them now. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though! I feel like maps like these need more love and attention. They try to do something unique or new, and I love that.
Me and my friends discovered this map a little bit ago and it has been one of the best gaming experiences we've ever had. Its nice to know that there are more people playing this game.
explored the game with someone special, we spent about 1 hour just buzzing around the map. we weren't die hard on finding on the hidden areas, but we had fun exploring them. we agreed to explore the map for a good long while before....heheh..... equipping flying and glowing skins. that being said i did discover the double jump and light fairy before using all that stuff. a wonderful exploration liminal space style map. with zero jumpscares other than bumping into your friend in the teleporters and suddenly seeing yourself in a mirror as usual lol I'm always super greatful when a map has no jumpscares.
This map is so much fun has a nice liminal feel too but the platforming in the dark can be very annoying esp the part where you need to jump up the platforms then up the narrow pipes all for one collectable lol Feels good to play this map once you know where everything is, you kind of feel like the cool kid at school just watching others trying to figure it out for the first time and even helping them lol I wish there was more now, But I can only imagine how long it took to make this map.
Agreed! That one platforming segment is a bit rough, but like you said once you know how it all goes you can nyooom through it all. My record time is just around 14 minutes, I'm sure I can lower it if I plan my routing a bit better. But ultimately I love helping people find stuff there! Met some awesome people from it. I don't know how long it's been in the works but I was able to see a really early concept version of it back in January during a Community Meetup. A good portion of the map was already done in terms of layout but there were no collectibles and a lot of the map wasn't there yet, so... At LEAST four months, I'd imagine closer to 6 or so?
Love maps like these! It’s a nice refresher after seeing so many cancerous cuddle rooms. Really channels the creativity you actually are supposed to use when playing this game.
@@NovaRedux Actually more like 2 ish, I started work mid-january and planned to release in march, but life got in the way How long the next thing will take depends on how ambitious I get with it, I'm experimenting with some interesting new systems ;)
Played through the map with a friend and had a lot of fun but just couldn't find the last 3 collectables. Thank you for numbering them, it saved us so much time :)
Thanks for the help Nova though my game crashed I will still remember the advice you gave me yours truly Joe. Ps. The grapples are slot harder than I expected
kinda sucks how the grapples on pc barely work, i got all collectables and upgrades and to my surprise they barely work xd, they dont pull you at all, and you cant do it manually on pc so it doesnt work at all
So the trick with the grapples is that they don't pull you like a traditional grapple. You need to swing and use momentum and clever map awareness on where to grapple next. You can pull yourself up in the air by grappling a point and moving backwards, for instance. It takes some practice and getting used to, for sure! Took me a bit to get it down.
i just finished the game for the first time last night and also managed to help someone else finish it despite the mic not working for vrchat (dont know why; it works for other games but not vrchat apparently)
Great work! I'm super proud of you. That was super awesome of you to pass it along and help others as well! ^^ As for the mic thing, I assume you've checked your mic settings in the audio tab of your menu? Make sure it's set to the proper mic there.
That's strange. I assume your avatar height is normal, you're not crouching, and you're holding the jump button when you jump, yes? Those are my first three things I'd check.
Hey, just wanted to say that this video was really helpful and well polished. I checked out your channel and was really surprised at how little subs you have. Your channel is seriously underrated . Keep up the hard work man 👍 I’m excited to see your future content!
Thank you! 2024 is the year I put the pedal to the metal and surge in subs so don't worry, "how little subs" I have will be a relic of the past >:3 Appreciate the kind words, I'll keep it up and keep creating stuff I believe in ^^
Just keep trying! It's REALLY precise. One tip I have is to stand over it, look down, and jump - making sure to SLIGHTLY move just before you land. Keep slightly moving towards the center of the hole.
dont need a special avatar with flight, bs. players were abusing flight in this world because trolling creators who made this and actual game devs put things in super unreachable areas that would need flight ON PURPOSE the teleporters suck, they are random..... 14 is bullshit and im told theres a grapplehook? if so that should be/would be needed or flight, so 14 should be the last one. safety net? seriously? thats not a thing in the game 14 is too tedious... the grapple hooks doesnt work do your best my ass, the grapples suck
As demonstrated in this video, everything is accessible without flight. You use the in-game upgrades to access every collectible. Unfortunately, there's a lot of impatient people who want immediate results, and don't take the time to experiment and explore maps. This is why I do my best to guide people and help them see how to solve the puzzle, to experience it the way it was meant to be played. The grapples do work, just not in the way you'd expect them to. They're moreso based on momentum and swinging, not pulling. It's something you have to play around with to get used to. Not everything will be handed to you on a silver platter, especially a game or puzzle that's designed to make you explore and think. Sometimes we need to take a step back, breathe, and overcome challenges rather than resorting to the easiest cheat method available to us. Something like Tetris isn't a massive hit because you break down lines. It's because you overcome tricky situations and think about your next move. If you have a program that automatically gives you the best move, it stops being fun.
