Time for a little premiere today! I did this cover of "Terra's Theme" from Final Fantasy VI for German RU-vidr GermanLetsPlay and it was a really special commission for me. It's my first cover that originates from a game's OST that I didn't play myself.
To dive into a game's world and score that's unknown to me was a really exciting yet challenging task and I'm totally excited to share the result with you today! I know that there's a huge fanbase of the earlier FF games and their magnificent score by Nobuo Uematsu out there. Even more, Terra is a beloved character for many fans of FFVI. So I really hope you like my attempt on her theme!
The OST of Final Fantasy VI was originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

I have loved FF6 since it came out in the U.S as FF3. This rendition of Terra's theme is the best I've encountered. The choir in the background is a phenomenal touch.

I woke up too early. I started RU-vid for the morning routine. I saw this beauty - my most favourite Cover musician covered my most favourite theme from my most favourite game. I LOVE IT!

This brought me tears. If a FF6 Remake ever happened, I’d want this song playing in a final showdown between Terra & Kefka, in a snow storm at night (like in the intro where Terra approaches Narshe in Magitek armor). Great job 👏

Was zum henker.. also wenn dieses cover vollständig selbst arranged wurde ohne dass irgendwelche Fragmente aus anderen offiziellen releases hinzugefügt worden sind dann hast du das einfach Perfekt umgesetzt mein lieber. Die Seele des Songs ist absolut perfekt umgesetzt und erweitert worden. Weiter so!

Ich fand "Terra's Theme" schon immer wunderschön, aber dein Cover legt sozusagen noch die Kirsche auf die Sahne. Wirklich absolut toll! (Da verzeih ich sogar, dass es kein weiterer Track aus dem Terranigma-OST ist. ;))

Unfassbar geiles Cover! Da kommt schon Abenteuer-Stimmung auf! Der Soundtrack und die Atmospäre im Spiel ist im Gegensatz zu deinem Stück eigentlich sehr düster und traurig, dein Cover gibt dem ganzen nochmal so eine epische Konlusion und eher eine hoffnungsvolle, abschlussreiche Atmo. Der FF6 Soundtrack ist allgemein so überragend, allein dafür lohnt es sich das Spiel mal gespielt zu haben, falls du dafür irgendwann mal Zeit finden solltest: du wirst es lieben! PS: Aber Terranigma bleibt trotz alledem das Meisterwerk schlechthin! :D

Often when I listen to a cover or an ochestrated version of a video game song I love, I feel like the person missed something from the original that was crucial. Here for the first time, I feel the opposite. I find the original theme good but incomplete, and listening to your cover really satisfies my ears! Definitely better than the original imo
