3:40 It's the opposite... you can only play this card if Oxygen is at 5% or lower
15:48 It's not cheaper... the cost is the same but after paying the cost and building next to an Ocean tile you get 2MC back
19:24 Again, the tile is supposed to be flipped and place a player cube on it to know that that's Richard's City.
Also, that's not the correct tile... that tile is for the Capital City... Noctis uses a normal City tile
22:31 Forgot to advance Jen's Terraforming Rating by 1 for placing the Ocean

Minor point, but at about 19:00, Noctis City is built. You used the white tile, which is actually for the Capital city card. I think the difference in tile color is to draw attention to the fact that the Capital scores for both greenery and ocean tiles that surround it. Noctis City scores like any other city. Thanks for the playthrough!

3:40 Oxygen level needs to be 5% *or less* to play the Colonizer Training Camp card, so Jen *could* keep it and play it this turn/round/generation.

Does look like a neat game, even if not for us. Beginning to be a little more discerning in my purchases, realizing not every cool new game needs to end up on my shelf. ;)

There's so many cool games that never hit my table because my gaming group seems to be allergic to euros. Not even just euros, but wargames as well. I seriously need to find somebody else to play with.

Yikes, definitely narrows down your options missing out on those types of games. I tried BoardGame Arena and such but it's no substitute for a real-life gaming group. Keep at it, it takes time but it's worth developing a steady group. Maybe trick'em with some hybrid games. 😉

'Lords of Waterdeep' seems to work, for some reason. Might be because of the D&D theme (which is ridiculous to me as the theme in that game is paper thin and it could literally be about anything else), but well, at least there's an euro we can play. What annoys me the most is that people (one of them in particular) already come with a predisposition to dislike the game, then if by some magical reason you actually convince them to play more, they ends up liking it. So it's all prejudice. But yeah, it's so frustrating when you see a cool game like this and you can't buy it because you know it's not going to hit the table... I'm gonna try sneaking Scythe into our next meeting. :P

Lol, yah I hear ya. People have weird hangups around boardgames. I'm a little lucky in that I was the 'gamer' for a lot of the building of our group and so I tried to refrain from simplifying things into "euros and ameritrash" because things get too rigid when you start labelling everything, no room for anything outside the box lol. Now a few of the group have started their own collection, pretty cool to see. But I still get the "I didn't think that was going to be fun!" comment when I bring out something like Dungeon Petz or Expedition:Northwest Passage. The struggle is real lol.
