I love the effort and showing how you can make terrian on a budget. As someone who now only had time for skirmish games I love the idea of banging out some scatter terrain over a weekend with a friend
Good video. This really takes me back to the pre-GW terrain daus of 40K. Never underestimate what can be done with packing foam, paper clips and PVA glue.
We try and pack a lot into our videos otherwise they are very short. We believe that wasting peoples time is wrong so we try our level best not to do it - Cal
Great video! Complete, usefull, something to remember. I put it at the level of the old "how to make wargames terrain" book, but even more in a budget (that being positive as 40k requires tons of terrain now).
@WhatareyouPaintingnow I got the same vibes. Yours is more concise, more into the budget and easy version (no wired trees, not a thousand ice cream sticks) but still come with well thought ideas (step by step instructions, sprue frame, reference to resources/time/quality). It is not perfect, though! Some would have appreciated a presentation of materials, possible alternatives, and their pros and cons (I think that is in the book), like durability or access.
So awesome you guys did this! I have tried to catch the livestreams but they usually are during my work hours. That Calador cream looks great for the skin too, lol! Exfoliate!

Awesome video! Good terrain is often under rated for a good game. I've been saving cardboard boxes, sprues, and other cheap hobby scraps to make my own terrain soon. I will definitely being using tips from this video.

Thanks for putting this together guys! A lot of great ideas here. Any reason why you recommend using PVA over something like spackle for texture paste? Also have you considered doing a teamup with another hobby channel to cut down on some of the work or bring new people in? I saw an even more low effort ruins video made by Erics Hobby Workshop and it seems like you all could have a good discussion with him like you did with Brushstroke.
Hills Optional Stage 6 Amendum : Don't worry about matching hue, but do concentrate on natural colors. Even in exposed rock formations, you're degrees that you'll see green, grey, yellow, and other shades is a natural thing, and even large feilds of grass will have spots of yellow or colorful spots where wildflowers have landed. Don't be afraid that it all has to match precisely. What you are looking for interest and contrast and you as long as you don't overdo your flavor highlight, you'll be fine. Obviously, if you are nervous, go with the programmed suggestion, but know that this stage can be a bit looser if you so desire.

I like both, but I suspect I am the exception, rather than the rule. I hope you will still continue to make more videos like this, even though they may get fewer views ... I really like them! I hope that makes sense, if not, I am sorry, English is not my first language.
