I unlocked hardmode last night and first skeletron prime spawns as im preparing for the destroyer and then during a blood moon 2 zombies dropped the mechanical worm and the mechanical eye

Recently got back into terraria. I used to play on mobile a few years ago and got tired of waiting for an update that seemed like it would never come. Found my old device and updated the game. First thing I tried was expert mode. I knew a lot of enemies got big buffs but I just thought the destroyer would be as easy as it used to be, as I had full titanium armour. Boy was i wrong.

I haven’t even defeated queen bee cause I couldn’t find the hive but I defeated the destoryer with my storm bow that I got from my first ever biome mimic

Add solid block platforms along your platforms, around 11 blocks wide or more (they will block the destroyers lasers)

For those who are struggling against the mechanical bosses, I recommend getting the ankh shield. Yes I know, it is hard to get cause of the drop rate of the materials, but YOU are gonna love it.

And thank you for the tutorial for the arena, a long platform really helped the destroyer gain less control, and I could fly over and attack the destroyer more easily I’m really happy I finally figured out how to beat this boss, and you earned a like and a sub!

1.3 just came out for mobile and i started playing again. I swear, FIVE MINUTES after i broke a alter, he spawned. I didnt know what to do but THEN a pirate invasion started. Talk about a bad start.

You should do a complete progression guide, when I started playing terraria I gave up pretty fast cause I had no idea what I’m supposed to do next, so a progression guide for beginners would help a lot of people get into the game

The daedalus storm bow and holy arrows is very OP I stood on a high solid platform so the destroyer wont shoot lasers at me, the destroyer wont reach me when im on high ground, i use a long wood floor so the lasers wont get me because the destroyer is under me, the holy arrow stars go through blocks so i only need to shoot the floor that i am standing at to destroy the destroyer, it also deals with the probes that go through walls, this is my strategy since i cant really dodge well in battle :/

I always found it kind of interesting that the destroyer can't despawn the only other boss that shares this trade is queen bee (spawned by larvae) and the moon lord

I've defeated the Destroyer in 2 attempts, 1 I died from running into a probe and 2 I dodged most of the attacks and defeated it with the deadlus Storm bow.

Just started playing and just got into hardmode (I think prematurely), so I'm getting geared up for this battle

I used a method where I chilled in a honey pool with a heartlamp and a campfire around me while using a nimbus rod.

Long time no see, at this point in time I can say I've defeated destroyer around 50 times 😂 Across a multitude of worlds

I beat the Twins earlier, and the Destroyer sounds like he’s the easiest, so I probably should’ve done him first, but if I beat the twins, I can beat him too! Love the videos :)

Finally a tutorial that is reasonable for new players like me. I keep on seeing people telling me how to cheese it with range really high up. I joined this game wanting to be the hardest class first (in my opinion the mele) and mabey use some mage weapons.

"It will not despawn if you run away" Honestly pretty good if your low you can just use the magic mirror quickly heal and get to your arena. And it would be faster if your arena is in the ocean because you can just use the magic conch without wasting any time.

Titanium no longer has shadow dodge. It now has the titanium barrier. Shadow Dodge was replaced by Holy Protection for Hallowed Armor

Here is a Quick tip the best or good ranged weapon is Daedalus stormbow+Holyarrows Insanely good to kill mech bosses the stormbow drops from a hallowed mimic search it on Terraria wiki if you don't know drop a like if that help if not you don't have to

I swear I wanted to watch this cuz I have been unprepared for more than 2 days and the destroyer just kept spawning almost all the time! (Usually happens when blood moon comes) I even haven’t started making an arena for any boss yet because I’m so caught up getting the armor and weapons I need for preparation! On my summoner, I spawned the destroyer and half a second later its head just straight up insta killed me. I was like >o> for a solid 30 seconds

Another strategy that I used was to make a big rectangular box with the top and sides made out of stone, about 10 wife dirt platforms with one dirt protruding upwards on each end on the first quarter and third quarter of the arena, with a long wooden platform connecting everything, using full palladium armor for fast regen, ironskin and regen potions, campfire and heart lantern on each end of the arena, a decent sword like a mythril or orichalcum sword or better to fend off probes and a decent yo-yo like the hel-fire, a nimbus rod to have constant damage, and a titanium repeater with holy arrows works aswell. Some accessories I used were the star veil, cthulhus shield, lighting boots, leaf wings, worm scarf, and a ranger emblem, all with warding for defense. It’s a pretty good strat

I have a good idea Have both spider summons, Meteor staff, Deadlus Stormbow, Titanium Armor(Melee for high defense) Swap between the Meteor staff and Deadlus Stormbow while letting summons attack the Destroyer too, and the arena will be one solid platform with 2-3 platforms above for the probes Below this make an arena with traps(all 160 blocks on each side are traps with a 1 second timer) or all traps you can get from the old ones army on PC. Build this up 150-160 blocks high were the Destroyer won't attack you directly(remember wings and extra accessories Try this a few times and you should beat the Destroyer

Thanks to you I was able to unlock hard mode defeated the wof at 48 health and got killed by a leech and died about 6 times trying to get the goodie bad from the wof

box around 500 blocks off of ground, titanium armor, a nimbus rod (place 2 clouds under you so that they hit him when he goes by under you), and a daedalus stormbow with around 1000+ holy arrows will RIP through him in around 70 seconds.

One good idea I had was maybe using the slime mount cause when it jumps up you start riding the mount and jump onto the destroyer and deal damage and this’ll help you get close for melee

I got some good news for you! Since mobile wil be having 1.3, some players might not know too much of the update and will need info on beating the new bosses, farming new items, surviving expert mode, etc. And since you do a guide on pretty much everything Terraria related, they will watch your videos, giving you more views, and some of the viewers may like your content and subscribe to you, increasing your subcount! :D

Melee users... CHAIN GUILLUTINES!!! In addition, I finally got a Legendary Death Sycle, and it is truly O.P, so this would also be a Viable option.

I'm going to have to start a world, put it in hardmode, and then just wait around for the mechanicals to random-spawn on me. I feel I missed out on a major Terraria experience by never having a boss outside of the incredibly pathetic King Slime random-spawn on me I've seen speedrunners build platforms in the air and kill Destroyer by throwing dynamite at it. 1.3.1 is in the works. I didn't think medusa's head was even in the console version yet; I've never seen the thing. Funnily enough, I have seen people use fireworks to set off bombs and kill elder dragons in Monster Hunter: World

For mages: A good strategy Use the Spirit Flame and Nimbis Rod, build a platform high off the ground that the destroyer cannot reach you spawn the nimbus cloud under you, and use the Spirit Flame to kill the probes, it will kill the probes in 2-3 hits then you should beat him easily

I just started Expert Hardmode, and the Clockwork Assault Rifle from the Wall of Flesh is a great option for Rangers if you’re willing to farm for it and have enough ammo of good calibre. Really nice DPS especially with a good modifier. Edit: Palladium Armor also is nice if you’re really confident in your dodging. Less defense, but greatly increased life regen as long as you’re dealing damage.

I was so close to beating the destroyer with my garbage yoyo but my wife and 4 year old and newborn baby all decided they needed something from me at the same time and just when his health was almost gone the wife stepped in front of the TV to dust the entertainment stand and i died. Then i hit RU-vid and the stormbow strategy saved the day.

My white legendary phase saber helped me with the probes

i would recommend grinding for uzi its pretty easy to get its 1/100 chance and it has higher dps than megashark you can get it at start of hardmode.

Do a sky fall weapons guide if you have not already (Starfury, Daedalus storm bow, meteorite staff, lunar flare and more).

Haven't finished the video but if you can get the rod of discord if it traps you in a loop you can teleport out or if it is about to ram you with its head and you can't get out of the way fast enough.

I was building my arena and I accidentally used my worm and it spawned and killed my whole village. Same thing happened when my first expert hard mode goblin invasion happened xD

This is a Better Way. 1. Build a Huuuge Row of Platforms. 2. Place Fireworks on Those Platforms. 3. By Using Wires, Connect All The Fireworks to a Lever. 4. Summon Him. 5. Activate The Lever and See How The Destroyer gets DESTROYED by Fireworks! Well, Maybe on some Platforms it will lag a lot when the Fireworks Explode. But at Least it works! You also can Use this Technique on Every Mech Boss! If You want to See How to Build Those Rows of Platforms, Go See Gameraiders101's "Firework VS Bosses." Video. That's About it.
