Terraria - Is Fishing Worth It in 2023 

One of my favourite parts of fishing is the fact that enchanted swords can be found in gold crates which means that you can always make a zenith using only one world

This is why the autofisher QoL mod is such a huge godsend in moded re-runs.

You have really gotten better, the intro thingy with the text was smooth and nice. You didn't do too many jump cuts so that's really good, most of the time the background gameplay correlated to what you were talking about. Something that might or might not add to your game is adding small things such as at 2:56 when you're talking about big crafting trees maybe either in the background gameplay show you crafting one such item. Or maybe just add a snapshot from the terraria wiki showing one such tree, same goes for when talking about the angler quests. Maybe you could show some items you can get from the quests and the special items you get att 50 quests done, 100 and onwards. [If you didn't know you get a special item at certain numbers of quest complete] You could also talk about the other part of fishing, for example people that REALLY like fishing might wanna fish for crates so when they get into hardmode they can instantly get the diff ores without having to mine a bunch. And like @nickpower1837 said you can get the enchanted sword which otherwise has a rare chance to spawn in a random world. 2:57 please tell me you know you can make the Ankh Charm into the Ankh shield. It's the very good! Goodshit man :)

PLS TELL ME HOW TO USE WORMS WHILE FISHING

Fishing USE to be extremely worth it back in 1.3, and then for some reason, probably because Red hates fun, they nerfed the everloving shit out of it, and now it's not something I feel is worth bothering with in Vanilla. I use to do a TON of fishing prior to 1.4. Reaver Shark was epic and a cool little way to jump up a few rungs in pickaxe progression (which was fine) and the ores and bars alone were a great reason for it. You could also stockpile crates up in pre-hm for early hard mode as a way to get set up with gear as soon as you beat wall of flesh, which was cool and a nice way to let smart and experienced players prepare for what they're getting into, and now because of the utterly stupid HM crates they created, that's gone too. Not to mention, 1.4 nerfed the actual REWARDS themselves from the crates, so even if you DO go fishing in hard mode and are well geared up to do so, it's still just FASTER to fuck off and mine it through normal progression methods. I hate what they did to fishing in 1.4, it took something that was a cool optional side thing that allowed for many different paths through progression and basically choked the life out of it for the sake of forcing people into their railroaded progression. It's boring and I'm glad I have mods to fix their bullshit changes.
