This is really late but that’s why Plantera carries around a guitar. Unlike the other bosses, Plantera is talented enough to make and play his/her own theme while ripping you to shreds xD
As a matter of fact, there is a reason. The name "Plantera" is actually a portmanteau of the words plant and Pantera, the latter being a rock band. Apparently one the devs were a huge fan of that particular band, so the others decided to bring them a very kind surprise. This also explains the rare drop from Plantera; "The Axe" (That one red guitar you can get from her.) That was the band's recurring staple. _The more you know!_

Plantera is weird The first time i fought it i died way too easily Second time i beat it easily Third time it killed me easily There is no inbetween for plantera, too easy or too hard with the latter being more common
@@Giranite Both Paladin's Hammer and the Terrarian are post-Plantera. You can't legitimately use them for a strategy to beat Plantera for the first time in a playthrough

*Tier 1 Bosses (Skeletron, EoC)*: Fairly simple, if not a bit taxing on your first playthrough. *Tier 2 (BoC, EoW, maybe the bee)*: A bit more challenging, but nothing you can't handle with the right equipment. *"The Wall"*: The ultimate challenge for beginning players, but once you best it, once you have everything you could need, little else stands in your path. *Tier 3 (Mechanical Bosses)*: Your true goal in your newly "Hard Mode" World. Beat them, and unlock the components necessary for a godly arsenal. *Plantera*: Possibly your greatest challenge yet, maybe even in all of Terraria. Even with the right equipment, if you aren't careful, you'll be cleaved in two. But hey, you made it this far, right? *Tier 4 (Golem, Event bosses, Moon Lord)*: A test of your greatest abilities. Everything you've done, every boss you've beaten, every item you've collected has lead up to this moment. Use every skill at your disposal, and claw your way to the top if necessary. *Surface Plantera*: No. Literally, just turn the game off. Nothing human nor skill based can prepare you for this shit. Your best hope is to pick up TAS and a Dev Console.
Moon lord: lol just construct a small structure with camp fires and heart lanterns and stay in a small pool of honey, with three heart statues producing 60 life every ~10 seconds, and spam the solar eruption with solar armor and warding accessories to get max defense
SonicParadox17 i did it with turtle armor and true night's edge. How? On xbox360 once it kills you it stays where it was, so i made a house, broke flower and ran to house. Then i started clicking attack. I was killed about 100 times and it took me about half hour, but it was worth it.

Returning years later for another storytime! I've killed Plantera twice in weird ways. 1. On my own world, I ended up dying to Plantera during its last phase, but the poison damage from my chlorophyte arrows killed it offscreen! I went back to my boss arena and sure enough the stuff was there. 2. My brother asked me to beat Plantera for him (we were both pretty young at the time so I had no qualms in doing so). He didn't have that great weapons but I was also much better at the game, so I was beating Plantera pretty steadily. The arena was weird though, it was a donut shaped tunnel, as it had a big dirt island in the center, that I used to reset my wings without having to touch the floor (my brother didn't install any wooden platforms). I had Plantera down to a sliver of health, but had to reset my wings. I went to land on the island but missed and fell to the bottom. Cue me firing the megashark in panic as I'm falling to the bottom, with Plantera closing in fast. A few biters hit me on the way down and I was on heal cooldown, I really couldn't afford many hits. In true cinematic style, while Plantera's just about to close in on me, me firing up at it like its my last stand, I end up killing Plantera! Its entrails fell right on top of me lol.
Skeletron prime: A huge mechanical skull with multiple arms with hands consisting of a chainsaw a lazer a canon and a claw Twins:Two huge mechanical eyes one of them shooting flames so strong they can't be put out by water and the other shooting lazers that easily pierce through you Destroyer:A colossal mechanical worm made out of almost unbreakable steel emitting death lazer shooting probes when hurt Plantera:Big pink flower

Plantera- Pantera (Groove Metal band) (hence the overly heavy theme song), The achievement for defeating Plantera is called "The Great Southern Plantkill" being a reference to Pantera's album "The Great Southern Trendkill"
Gotta be one of my top 5 tracks. The rock is killer, the beat is catchy, the FRICKEN INTRO, is SO good. Its such a unexpected build up for your first time against plantera. it really changed up the normal formula. great work of art.

well my first battle with plantera be like: -me and my friends in the jungle, searching for chlorophyte -plantera's bulb near the surface FRIEND 1: well i'm going to take the bulb, we will use it later. -plantera has awoken! -my friends were so terrified, they just went to the surface level -i knew it, that if we're going to battle on the land, plantera will be enraged -i went to the surface level -olivia was impaled by plantera -ringo's face was torn off by plantera -slime was murdered by plantera also bonus history! slime is my old character (well she was my first character in the game) i was post-moonlord player... but i wanted to obtain meowmere. i really liked this sword! one time i wanted to download some mods. i tried so many times. when i gave up, i opened terraria. my all characters was gone (for no reason) i was lucky, i had some items in my chests... but without things like life crystals and life fruits... nah. i just cheated some items that i had, like terra blade, chlorophyte armor (with mask) or some accesories. now i'm in the end of another multiplayer gameplay... with my character named slimey.
Every time i think about plantera, i remember how hard the game schools new players about not touching the funny looking unique block in the underground of a biome (seriously i can think of like 6 situations where this could happen)
I remember this one time me and my brother were using the clentaminator to turn the jungle into a glowing mushroom biome to farm truffle worms, and then it accidentally destroyed a plantera bulb and sense we weren't expecting to fight a boss yet and our arena was miles away, we got completely owned

Hearing this while fighting surface Plantera is a whole different story. A new intimidation is formed where your mind basically says to you “You’re fucked, don’t even try it”
like basically, this is a mix of the different jungle music into a pretty intense song making you remember the past things youve done in the jungle and how long youve come (atleast for me)

When I fought her she got stuck in a narrow space because for some reason the bulb right next to my arena didn’t spawn her. I actually got annoyed that she got stuck cause I was hoping the battle would be more fun than that oof.
This is the most anticlimactic boss I faced in terraria (maybe in expert mode it will make me flee) I had full Chlorophyte armor and mask (I’m melee) I had my legendary tiger claw (fetid baghnakhs) and some gear to boost my defense and offense capabilities & iron skin potion with ichor flask, I destroyed its flower bulb, I heard its music and was waiting for it to come to me then it attacked me and it not a lot of damage to make me run so I stayed and hold down my attack button it’s now in phase 2 and then it’s dead with 56 hp left (I had at the time 425 hp) i was surprised it was that easy when I see people saying it was difficult, then I destroyed two more bulbs and won again... The twins are more dangerous then this

I kinda thinking always about plantera Inspired by something till I search it on wiki, This was inspired By "Pantera". Plantera Is a Whole Reference of that Band because of its drop, theme and Achievement called "The Great Southern Plantkill"

I was using a youtube giode but when it went to its second stage i just went "COME HERE PLANT, WANT A SNACK ITS CALLED IM AT 2 HP AND HAVE A MEGASHARK WITH CURSED BULLETS
For anyone stuck on Plantera, save up for 2 teleporters, have wire and a long flat piece of ground near a Bulb. Use the teleporters to switch to the two sides of the Arena. And use potions. Lots.
