@@chicago2colombia 10 hour flight on American coming back from Hawaii and we saw the stewardess the first 15 minutes and last 15 minutes. We had premium seating that included unlimited drinks(alcohol) and snacks along with our meal . When they came by the last 15 minutes to see if we wanted drinks I told her what for at this point. Never again

Nothing will ever happen to the Flight Attendant. He/She is within their rights. FAA protects crews from being harassed and touched.
I haven’t flown United for more than 10 years. It is the worst service and oldest and rudest flight attendants. Talk about Bad Apple, they are the rotten apple of the sky.
An apology does not remove the shame, the disrespect, and the humiliation putting cuffs on Terrell Davis in front of his family! And for what? Asking an airline steward for ice! Investigate before such an action! Shameful display!
@@Twee13 I think you can say excuse me, once or even twice, and then if they stil ignore it, maybe they are busy or sewrving someone else or counting their items on teh cart and dont wanna lose concentration, so you can try next time they come past and/or you try with a differnt attendant. If attendant tapped Terrells kid on the head I dont think TD would appreciate that, if another passenger tapped his wifes arm and said, "keep those kids quiet", i dont think that would be appreciated either. So i think touching a server, waitress or stranger unless its an accident or an emergency or a crowd squash like on a subway, you shouldnt touch the other person

I guess there is a bit of that 'shhh' air flow noise yes but you can still talk or raise a hand or even press a service button on your seat or near the overhead light (some have that). I didnt know TD before this incident, but maybe thast part of Terrell's entitlemnt hes acting like,''hey Im Terrell teh superstar i wanna drink now' instead of waiting his turn for the attendant to get back to him. Additionally the kids were on the ipad and missed the chance when attendat first said, what do you wanrt to drink, then attendant kept rolling and Terrell put in a 'late order' well too late imo :) you snooze you lose :)
@united this is not just this incident, flight attendants on United have zero customer service. We pay for our flights with useless meal packages and to make it all worse is some BS flight attendants…you are working for us on the duration of that flight please do better

Why does law enforcement handcuff someone just because an airline reported something? Shouldn't they hear the other side as well and THEN apply their minds? Law enforcement AND the airline should be blamed in this situation. It seems that law enforcement is just a private militia for American corporations.

The problem is, it's not just United, Delta, American and Southwest are just as bad, there are very few GOOD U.S. based airlines, ESPECIALLY Delta! If you're black, it might as well be named Southern Delta. But he because Mr. David and family wasn't flying 1st class, he didn't know who he was and thought he could get away with this sort of thing. These people no longer consider themselves in the SERVICE of the passengers that pay their wages, many, if not most of them are now on some power trip of what they can do because of 9/11. If a cop did this on the street, they'd be in court in a heartbeat, you can't do so without probable cause or a warrant, but these idiots are allowed to? We'd still NEVER hear about this if he weren't a Hall of Famer and Superbowl MVP player. That's the ONLY reason United "reached out" at all.

United is union and management can't do anything about it. FAA forbids anyone to touch a flight attendant. If you find all this laughable, take it to congress and/or make a complaint with the FAA.
Terrell Davis and his wife were interviewed by Gail King on ABC News in the presence of their attorney. They mentioned that police spoke to witnesses on the flight who confirmed that Terrell did not assault the flight attendant, leading to his release from handcuffs. It is evident that the flight attendant fabricated the entire incident.
I stopped flying United Airlines 10 years ago because of their very poor customer experience. Their colleagues lack the skills and training to simply provide respect and decency to their paying customers. I have flown Delta and American since and will never look back on United. They are a disgrace to the airline industry. They can learn much from Singapore, Emirates airlines and others. Is there any mystery that United always fishes at the bottom in terms of Customer satisfaction?
Remember the Doctor who was dragged off a United Flight. David Dao was his name and got a large settlement fron United. At the time the CEO was dude names Munoz. He once took a plane out of service for his own use. So United has a history of this type incidents. Lastly Dr. Dao was told to deplane so United employees could take the seats. New CEO is guy named Kelly and I guess with new leadershp not much has changed. I stopped flying United in 2013. Delta is much better.
Didn't United also do the same thing to Damon Wayans, Jr. when he visited Denver? And unfortunately, FOR THE LAST TIME, based on how he was treated. When is that undercover boss show gonna investigate United out of Denver?
People are over reacting to this story . The airline and law enforcement did what they are trained to do . If this went the other way they would be applauding the airline and law enforcment . The problem is the employee and thats where Terrell should be focusing his intentions towards .
Damn. This is so unfortunate. That man had his family on the plane and you totally humiliated that family. I understand that people sue people for almost the smallest things, but this......somebody is gonna have to fix that......if possible. Quite frankly, you can't fix embarrassment and humility.
I've seen the story about the gentleman whose guitar was destroyed by United employees, where he wrote a song about the incident, and I believe United's stock actually dropped due to the bad publicity. Another area United is very well known is breaking surfboards. My wife is a surfer, and we know more than one person that has had their board broken by United employees. So as not to discriminate against their passengers, United also likes to abuse them, not just their shipped luggage. Way to go United! And their flight attendants are getting ready to vote on a strike, so that will help their summer plans.

The airlines abuse their power. I agree about a lack of training and poor customer service. But do I think this merits a lawsuit? As an attorney for 45 years, I would not advise a lawsuit. Although I was not handcuffed, a similar incident happened to me 20 years ago or Northworst which was subsequently acquired by Delta. I am a white lawyer, aged about 50 at the time of the incident. The airline definitely abused its power. Do the airlines need to improve their customer service? Of course, but I don't know that I think a lawsuit is warranted.
Flight attendants are getting our of hand with removal of fliers. I watched a flier video were her and her child were kicked off airplane because flier misgendered an attendant by calling her/him "ma'am
Just watched the Nightly News it has been investigated. Apparently the attendant said he was violently attacked. They held Terrell Davis for almost 45 minutes and determined they had been misled. The flight attendant has been removed from their duties until they decide where this is going to go.
I just saw Terrell on the Nightly News. The reporter asked him he feels that race played a part on it and he said he does believe so but his main confirm was that it happened in front of his kids. I guess with Black kids they do not always get to enjoy their years of innocent and always are forced to grow up fast because of the color of the skin. Sounds like up until now because of his wealth he had been able to shield them from that. I am sure he is wishing now he would have flown privately instead.
It should not be a threat, Terrell needs to take action. Reprimands needs to be handed down to the flight attendant, pilot and law enforcement. Racism is alive no matter who you are or where you are at. If that was a Caucasian male, it would not have gone down like that. If I was a betting person, I bet that flight attendant was caucasian. Nooo question. The flight attendant would've turned around and politely asked "oh I'm sorry, excuse me?" That would've been the end of that. The flight attendant MAD he had to serve someone black and used the tired ol' victim card.

A very bad incident happened to me as well during my travel from San Francisco to San Diego in 1997, where a Female Flight Attendant of United Airlines was very Arrogant and disrespectful. When I informed her of her bad attitude, she was mimicking me in funny faces , clowning me through out the remaining flight. The baddest thing was when the United Airlines Female flight attendant was blocking my way when I was about to use the restroom at the back of the plane. She was provoking me by talking but her co flight attendant and they were laughing at me. My blood pressure spiked up but I tried to control my emotions to avoid more trouble . After that incident, I stopped patronizing United Airlines. Their flight attendants were not properly trained, Disrespectful, Criminal minded and illiterate .

Google airline passengers arrested and see how many whites have been arrested and never even touched anyone but just disagreed. But now an employee is being blamed and united now has a new policy, you can touch their employees to get their attention.

Where is the privilege? He was handcuffed in front of his kids and held for about an hour while they investigated.
