Our haul down to @MattsOffRoadRecovery 2024 Off-Road Games turns into a huge mess. Here is a midweek video to let you in on what happened on our way down!! Check out our merch: peckbrothersof...
Sorry for your bad luck guys, it's great how Matt is willing to help you with him buried in getting the Off Road Games going. Not to mention it was incredible that he had 1 truck available much less 2 teucks to help you guys out in such short notice. Hope you have fun and be safe. Can't wait to see you showing how your adventures go this week.
@@paulshannon4576 I'm the same way Paul. My life depends on my having a healthy vehicle. If the engine blows three blocks away and then my friend who borrowed my truck crashes head first into a neighbours Red Lamborghini and a huge gasoline fuelled fire ignites and three houses burn down? Who pays the 12 million? Just sayin..
Out of 75 6.7s I've had (comany vehicles), I've had the cp4 pump failure twice. We replaced the whole fuel system both times and honestly ended up trading both of them in even after fixing them. They never seemed to be the same after. S&S diesel makes a kit to prevent this from happening.
I was just wondering about that. So you pay ~$12k to fix it.....what keeps it from happening again in 6 months? That goes from really expensive to CRAZY expensive really fast.
"Going to be a Banger"! For sure. Matt and crew are always (when possible) available for last minute rescues is one of the best things about Knowing Matt. He may even have a few "suggestions" for the Mini wrecker. Just sit back and watch his gears grind away.
“It’s not you and it’s not Alex” was probably the most diplomatic way of saying that! I’ve spent my fair share of time on the side of the highway, it sucks man. Wish we could get more mid week posts on better terms!
@@jakeford7688I’ve had three Dodge trucks over the last seven years, a transmission in both second gens nothing with the 3rd gen that will hit a half a million miles this year. Definitely going Dodge again.
@@lethargicmotorsport2025 I've a 2000 dodge 2500 with the 5.9 magnum and worked the hell out of it had a 07 with a hemi transmission took a crap. Not impressed with dodge right now at least 3 rd gen and above anyway
@@jakeford7688 I feel like they’ve fixed the transmission problems . My 4th gen hasn’t had any issues at all. I don’t understand why they don’t just use Allison transmissions . Young guy next door to had a 2000 , he beat on that truck like a rented mule and it never gave him any problems. He regrets selling it.
Toyota family for decades laughing at you foolish domestic buyers. I have no idea what it's like to break down on the side of the road, or blow an absurdly designed $10k fuel system, or an engine, and definitely not a transmission. I simply pay more upfront for my Toyotas, then never worry about them breaking down, ever, as I drive them for hundreds of thousands of miles each with only standard maintenance. They go through snow and pull out stuck domestics, they go offroad and rescue stuck or broken domestics, then they go on the beach for vacation and relax. Toyota life is good. Well it was until Toyota went off the rails with the new Tundra and Tacoma, end of an era, and end of an amazing track record. MY next new vehicle I may have to build my own, or move over to Nissan trucks since they are still half decent. I would NEVER pay my money to buy any domestic truck, except an older gen diesel if I needed something that heavy.
Oh man. Break downs on the road just suck. I was in sand hollow about three weeks ago from Nevada and the water pump in my Ram Eco Diesel died. Shout out to Napa Auto parts in Hurricane for getting parts ordered. My truck ended up getting towed back home and I completed the work here but. Still what a pain. You guys are going to have a blast this weekend at the off-road games. Keep it up guys.
You guys are in my prayers your dad is amazing he loves all you kids and is happy you guys are safe. We as viewers who take the time to watch ya'll we love you guys as well and glad you all are safe the Lord is watching over all of you always. Stay safe 🙏 ❤️
Your Dad is a Purdy Cool dude. Your just lucky he's Your dad. Mine...Well I did wreck his Brand new Cadillac when I was young. It wasnt good😂. Good Luck Feller's. Great video
I was thinking that the only way three brothers can have this much fun and get along so well together is if they grew up in a very loving and fun family. This video is proving me right. When Dad gets the call that his truck fuel system is trashed and he ends the call with "I love you guys", I know this is a loving family. This Dad puts his boys first.
Hi, I am very sorry to see the trouble you had with the truck and super happy no one was injured. No matter the brand of vehicle, they do have a way of causing us problems. Best wishes ❤
Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do! As I was once a police officer, I'm Glad that you all weren't hurt along side of the road! A Hat's off to Matt and Jake! 4X4'ers to the end! Have fun at the games and Hope you can fix your Pop's truck! P.S. your dad's one of the good guys!
I had my CP4 explode and the symptoms were the exact same as you described. Luckily the repair was covered under my extended warranty. But I will be doing a DCR conversion at some point.
Having good friends that help at the drop of a hat is fantastic. It starts by being one of those friends. You guys seem like those kind of guys. Always look forward to a new video.
Square Body Baby, you can fix almost anything on the side of the road with Duck tape, bubble gum and bailing wire. So sorry for your issues, you have an amazing family, keep your chin up and have fun in Hurricane!
I think "enjoyed" is the wrong word, I could see the genuine pain in your faces when you had to call your Dad. From what I have seen of him on your channel your Dad seems like a really good guy, so I'm sure he'll know what's really important in his life - spoiler it isn't his truck.
I love the off road community. We look after each other regardless of the situation, distance, time or weather. Good luck with your Dads rig. I can almost guarantee he is happy you all are safe equipment can always be repaired.
GO PECK BROTHERS, GO MATTS OFFROAD, Wow hey it's good to know you guy's are gonna make it Holy Flip lol. You guys were stressin man anybody would. Thanks for the video guy's and good luck.
Im not a subscriber to your channel, but the algorithm put me on to you. Bummer about dad's truck. Glad Matt could help out. I'll be watching for your Off-Road Games video posts. ❤
Y’all are studs. Glad you have the support of your family and others like Matt who see your work ethic and that you guys are solid dudes worth investing time and money to get you to events! This channel is going to blow up, can’t wait to see y’all make it big!
Hard line fitting in top of the cp4 right in the middle of the intake Valley. They build a kit that keeps all that nasty out of the fuel system, is look into that going back together!
Sad to hear that guys. Fixing HP fuel systems is always a nightmare. Tiny shards will enter the oil and the turbo as well as the intercooler of course so you will need to flush the entire engine and and that point I would look to swap it out. Takes less time and costs less if you find a good one from a crashed vehicle. Good luck and hope you can get it fixed.
Good luck gents! Just recently subscribed to your channel and have not been disappointed. I look forward to all your new uploads. That mini wrecker is off the charts!
Well in actuality, you guys would not have been driving to Utah were it not for Matt.😂 He would however never leave anyone stranded. Jake to the rescue👏🏻 Sorry guys, that really stinks.
Glad you guys made it to the off road games Morr to save the day Westside Racing's the BondoBrothers Had that same problam with there dads truck also they did a 12 valve swap Westside Racing's Bondo Brothers you tube channel
You guys sure remain calm with whatever happens, even if it’s not good news. That’s one of the many things that’s so cool about your friendship as brothers…. !
That sucks that happened, I’m glad dodge didn’t continue to use those cp4’s. Tried em for a couple years and said nope. Not sure why anyone uses em, complete junk
So excited to see this mid week video… then felt so bad for you guys! We’ve all made those calls, and they’re never fun. But thankfully you’ve got a great relationship with him and it always works out! 🍻
Make sure you guys install the CP4 Disaster Prevention Kit from S&S Diesel. Not only on Dads truck but your own. I'm a Ford tech. Recently semi retired. Also research the issue. There's some preventive maintenance you can do. Some Ford shops may not install the kit during the repair. So ask ahead of time. May have to go to a performance Diesel shop.
Look forward to you putting on a show at the Off-road Games! Awesome Matt helped you out. Happy your channel is growing and thanks for the surprise video!
Matt and their team, are such great people. We have a ford too. Our booth was a couple down from you guys at the Off road Expo in sandy Utah. Hope you guys get it figured out. We do have a buddy that works on diesels but here he is here local in Hurricane let us know if we can help
Let me first say that my favorite truck is my 97 Ford. That said, cp4s suck, new powerstrokes are ridiculously expensive and hard to work on. I now run a 6.7 Cummins because I retired my 7.3 powerstroke from daily driver before it turned 400k. I don’t want to work on a new V-8 diesel. My deleted 6.7 is pretty simple. I can’t wait to see how you guys do at the games. I love the mini wrecker.
