The first bridge around Phu Tok was offerred to build by American GI's using iron and found it impossible.Later, the,then, abbot of Wat Phu Tok initiated the plan and led the villagers to build it using wood by himself.
We hope you can go soon!! It’s scary but so worth it 😍 That’s so crazy that the Americans couldn’t build it but the villagers succeeded! We can’t imagine how they were able to build it like that! 😱❤️

A couple years ago Carles and I did this hike in Spain called the Caminito del Rey (we have a video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X3g3NlidmIM.html ) so when we first saw pictures of Wat Phu Tok it reminded us of that and we said we HAD to do it!!! Unfortunately it was really hard to get to Bueng Kan while working in Bangkok Monday-Friday, so as soon as my job ended this was one of the first places we wanted to go! 😍

@@NataliesPassport It's all in your head.. really. Both of my sisters and I are SCUBA certified. To be honest, at first I thought my siters never could get passed the fear. But after a couple of struggles, they got passed that fear and have now enjoyed diving. I'm sure you can get certified. Maybe a meditation will help. Good luck!
This is one of my favorite destinations. Highly recommend to start climbing up before sunrise as it won't be too hot and seeing the sun rising in the morning from the top is amazing.

Hi Carles and Nat, thanks so much for filming this hike. Honestly, I have seen quite a few clips on Phu Tok and the way those clips were filmed didn’t gave me the feeling that this hike is dangerous at all. However, your clip, again, your clip was so immersive and it made me feel lucky that I’m the one who is watching, not the one who is taking this hike! It’s such a great place that I don’t plan to go. You two did an amazing job! Walking along the cliff is already difficult but you two hold a camera on one hand and you two can still talk and film while walking too, this is an amazing couples! Thanks again for letting me fully understand the meaning of ‘sketchy’😅😊😅.

I think you missed the highlight of the Phu Tok which is the small rock temple isolated from the main mountain on the 5th level. It is the calm and breezy so you can rest there. I had visited there 2 times with my family and i just convinced myself that it's fine since no incident ever happened up there and the monks also regularly repaired the walk ways. After I watched your video, I just realized how terrified it actually is. Also, of all places in Bueng Kan, I'm impressed the most with Tham Phra waterfall. It feels like a really large natural water park. But sadly, the waterfall will not have plenty of water outside the rainy season(July - early October).
We did miss that part of the temple!! We had seen pictures of it, but after how scary it was we just wanted to get to the top and make it back down 😭 if we ever go back we’ll have to make sure we get to that part!! And also to the waterfall 😍❤️❤️

We were so scared at the time that we completely forgot about that cool part of the temple! 🥺 if we're ever brave enough to go again we need to go to that part! When we left wat phu tok, we went to sam hin whale 😍 so cool!!

Hey. I have been there last two year in rainy season. It was covered by the mist strongly so it was hardly to see the path . I was shaking all along the way. Finally, I stopped at the 6 th floor and went down to the ground . I was a crazy experience I made it. Enjoy your trip anyway.

Now I hardly watch movies but instead watch real movies from RU-vidrs like you. It's much more fun as if having actually experienced it.🥰
If you had not taken the dangerous one, you'd would not have known that the dangerous came first and thousands had experienced them. The easier way was built later for those who prefer less daring adventure. Your video of this temple is the best, at least shown in RU-vid over many years I have seen about this temple top.
