Hunting Purgatory S2 EP13: Evil Spirits in Mississippi Ghost Town
After traveling to Mississippi for an investigation regarding coordinates from a dark web mystery box, we soon heard from the locals about a town called Rodney. This town is believed to be haunted by something extremely dark so we decided to make it an investigation... what we discovered was shocking!
Whether or not you believe in ghosts, paranormal activity or demons the things we caught on camera during this ghost hunt are completely unexplainable. Unexplained paranormal activity gone wrong. This felt like living through a horror movie but we caught it all on tape. It was very scary! We will never forget this night and neither will you.

Love you guys! I work in long term care as a personal support worker and have seen my fair share of spooks and things I cannot explain. Also, just wanted to point out, I took a closer listen to the drums. They almost sounded like drumline especially tenor drums due to the pitch changing at some parts. Awesome stuff!

I think Casey was definitely in danger. When the Ovilus first came on it said "Tim, Animal". I seen a black cat run across the flooring by the graffiti. Then it says " Wire, Climb, Finish." It was clearly telling him to climb the stairs where the wire was and finish. Finish filming? Finish himself off? Ooh Lord Jesus!!

Explanation for the drums: Alcorn state is 30 mins or so from Rodney. An historically Black college or HBCU; marching bands have 2-3 am practices during season and before competitions.

those drums sounded like a highschool marching band playing in the distance...i can hear when they are playing at the school near me at night games and the school is 2.5 miles away from me..was there a town nearby that maybe had a sporting event going on? I know sound travels so much easier on wet humid nights too, just a thought...as for the spirit box and ovilus responses and those crazy footsteps running at you , those were creepy for sure...P.S. I looked on Google maps and Alcorn state University is not far from Rodney, just a mile or so away, so I defo think it was marching band drums and stuff you were hearing echoing through the woods

My dad is from the south and they take ghosts and the dead seriously where he’s from. He always says “don’t bother them and they won’t bother you.” So seeing them going in and reciting prayers (especially the demonic one) to get a reaction sent my anxiety through the roof. 7:47 top right window it looks like a black mass is moving away from the window as you get closer, and shining your flashlight into that same window. 12:41, 12:43, 12:47 and 14:05 all orbs eminating from left side of screen. 15:08 the hanging lightbulb was swaying like someone or something was wallking on the roof (that was too heavy a footsteps to be a squirrel or raccoon). 7:47. That was weird because when you guys were on the 2nd floor, it was on the roof. Then like it made a noise downstairs so you'd go down. Then when you guys went to the ground floor, it was on the 2nd. It seemed like it was playing with you guys. Then it seemed to get angry and charge at you. The sound of the drums just creeped me out so much, as I was watching the video at 1:00 am. I think that what is up at top right window was something on the wall, and when he flashed his light he also changed the angle as he moves. That made it look like something in the room moved. I've done enough paranormal research to know everytime an ovilus says demon, devil, it's demonic and you need to bail because it's legit don't talk with it anymore don't show fear just simply leave. Cleanse before getting home and contacting serious help from a powerful pastor, not a catholic priest they'll piss it off those people do everything wrong. If pastors don't work, contact a spiritual shaman that knows how to help if that don't work it means the area or land was offered up to the devil or someone sacrificed people and did satanic rituals or black magic. Them doing a demonic chant literally just messed up bad. Talking to good ones for evidence is good anything else you're going to get wrecked

I must say, that was the most scary, anxiety inducing, and horrifying paranormal exploration video I've seen on your channel yet. I've heard that same beat in the deep woods in the middle of the night in a very rural area of Georgia. My wife and I went camping on some private land. There is an Indian burial ground and lots of shit happened there during the Civil War. When I heard that beat it took me right back to that night. It was the most terrifying thing I've ever experienced. It started out way in the distance and got closer. It got to just beyond a hill at our camp and stopped. Sounded like a high school marching band drum, but different. I cant believe they heard that out there. The beat was EXACTLY what we heard that night. And wasn't nobody on a drum kit out in those woods at 1-2 in the morning. Period...

Alcorn State University is only about 5 miles from Rodney, and sound can carry pretty far in these areas. And as to the post light still being on even though no one lives there anymore, it’s Mississippi. You’d have to live here to understand that nothing that happens here makes sense 😭😂

I believe a lot of the stuff that comes through on spirit boxes is a bunch of static that is often suggestive; I've also learned that sometimes these boxes come imbued with pre-existing phrasing and words, i.e. devil. So hard to tell what is genuine these days.

The drums were from Jack Sprinks Football stadium in Alcorn, 3 miles away. And being a soldier I can tell you no-body talks like that. Especially from the days of cannon balls.

Mariana A. The way it said it too was f’ed up. I’ve never heard an Ovulus use two different tones. Usually it’s monotone words because it is picking from a database not speaking itself but the way the voice got much deeper and if you listen closely it say THE devil. Not just devil but THE devil. But the doesn’t come up on the box which is so odd. Something had to be strong enough to manipulate the speech of the box😫😭

Those drums sound like what plays at the high school football games in my town. The school is a few miles away but I hear them in my yard. At first it sounded like native American beat but the closer you got the more I heard it wasn't. But those foot steps running down the stairs were awesome! I’m from Clinton Mississippi, not far from Vicksburg. I have heard the drums on a wooded isolate property in Clinton. Me and about 5 others while trying to have a bonfire.
