Really thought provoking. For those who have watched through it already, I like how the detective alludes to the 1969 Tokyo University Protests without saying so at one point: Where do we draw the line between revolutionaries/protesters and terrorists? And while I'm certain some will find it in poor taste, I applaud their bold choice of using reference photos from Ground Zero for the still photo scenes of the first bombings response team. Like they were trying to say "Here's what's the same and what is different." namely that it was strategically carried out so that no one was killed, and the building was part of a larger message. It also touched on how people get dragged into those sorts of groups with Lisa's character, and how governments sometimes use chaotic events to push forward an agenda. Not entirely as hard hitting or insightful as Kojima's take on the perpetuation of war in a money driven world and criticism of nukes as a deterrent through Metal Gear, but then some of Kojima's monologue cutscenes are long than a single episode of Terror in Resonance sooo.

I read this before I watched and braced myself like a bazillion times but he survived and I was like ugh I was tricked but atleast twelve is alive yay. And then the ending happened. I was not prepared.

Nah it's #2. Ping Pong is an absolute masterpiece, it's incomparable. I'm sorry for ZnT to be so overshadowed by it, but then again, everything from this year was.
Tbh this was literally the second anime I watched after death note.. while death note was also about crimes and stuff but this was really heartbreaking and bittersweet.... I knew from the strt that they are gonna die or get punished... But in the end they really made me cry Thanks for reading my damn experience and thanks to the makers for this masterpiece..
one of the best anime out there it's not cringy at all (unlike most mainstream anime) and has this beautiful tone to the whole show. the color palette is bland and realistic. the characters are okay, even though they'd be better with more development especially five, lisa and twelve. the music is great. the story could be better and there are some things that made me go "what?" but it's still pretty good, especially the ending. well, i wouldn't expect less from the creator of cowbot bebop honestly. i still rewatch this series to this day only to remind myself that it's better than the new animes i'm watching.
When it came out in 2014 it had the bad luck of airing at the same time as Tokyo Ghoul and I believe Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso was also airing at that time, plus we had Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus too. 2014 had a lot of great series airing and sadly ZnT was overlooked by many
this anime is so underrated but so damn good. it blew my expectations. the plot/story, animation, ost, and everything about this anime is so amazing. the anime is psychological, thriller, mystery, realistic themes, etc.
I really want to watch this because I love Yoko Kanno's work, especially when making music for anime, and I've read a lot of good reviews for it. But I'm so worried that this is going to be one of those things where the sub plot is two guys saving a totally helpless chick and she just basically serves as both of their love interests? I dont know I'm just getting super tired of seeing that in anime and dont want to watch this if thats the case. Unless the main plot is just so ridiculously good that I dont feel like heaving a heavy sigh every episode when the show pans to the chick loudly crying at one of the dudes not to leave because he's about to go and do something ~*super dangerous!!!~* or whatever...
It's definitely not that kind of anime, don't worry. :) The tone is overall dark, the plot is incredible and really intriguing, the characters are really well-written (Lisa isn't half as annoying as you think she might turn out to be), the animation is stunning and the music beautiful. What's more to ask? :D Definitely try it out.
guys if you like the suffering and pain like this one caused you and been looking for other animes, you'd probably like the promised neverland (even the trailer is worth to watch too)
I don't think it comes even close to zankyou no terror. To me, the writing felt mediocre, and I dropped it after a few episodes, but thank you for the suggestion! I know a lot of people did enjoy it, so maybe it's just me
God the music in this show is just amazing, and the combo of Yuuki Ozaki for the OP and Aimer for the ED~ Those two are so good at the dark, mysterious vibes

Ruben Faria I wish the anime had more explanation in the middle and for all the characters. Could have made it so much better but what makes it unique is the viewer perspective, which is 3rd person nearly the entire time.

There is no points unexplained, except for things that had already happen. I agree with you, but the story may not continue :D Nice anime it was, not brilliant, but very good :D
I've just completed Parasyte-the Maxim and was thrilled by it,so asked for suggestions for animes similar to it,this one was in suggestion. I've watched the trailer,it doesn't look that promising but still I'll watch 1 ep,if it builds suspense like that in Parasyte,I'll complete it.
