Thanks for stopping by! This video shows the easy and mess-free way to decant spraypaints to bottles for airbrushing. No reason to waste paint! As always, thanks for watching!
Thanks for your tips they're awesome, that green Matt you have there on your work desk, those little squares You can use those for measurement, they're probably all an inch? And some have a ruler printed on them? Thanks for your videos I'm a newbie and this is a wealth of information And entertaining!
Save yourself some trouble. Just take a flexible straw and "hot glue" it to the spray nozzle. Let it cool then run another bead around the join make sure there are no gaps for the paint to seep out.
Depends what you are decanting. For primers about 50/50, colors about 60/40 to 60/35. I use Mr. Leveling Thinner and shoot through an Iwata HP-CS which I think is a .35 needle. About 18 psi. That’s about 80% of my shooting.
Great video, however you have made it very complicated. The simplest and cleanest way is to spray directly down the side of the airbrush cap into the airbrush. No messy straws and the paint gets kept in the spray can. I do this nearly every time i airbrush and found it way faster and more effective, and no need to think about storing paint or thinning or off gassing. Just spray into airbrush and then spray out of airbrush.
