Many of my subscribers will have seen my videos over the years covering the incredible Legendary Grand Tour charity mini convoy, which has dominated the August bank holiday for a quarter of a century here in North Devon
With a heavy heart and utter sadness, I inform you that on Thursday, 11th April 2024, Terry Baker has sadly passed away.
Terry was an amazing fundraiser who dedicated most of his life to supporting The Children's Hospice South West, and the legacy he has created will continue well into the future.
in 2018, Terry was awarded the Pride of Britain / ITV Westcountry regional fundraiser for the year for his truly remarkable dedication to our local hospice.
Terry was an extremely humble and kind gentleman who always pushed away any praise for what he has achieved and always made sure that everyone knew that his mini crew, the motorbike marshals were the real stars of the events.

I first met Terry sometime in the late 1990s when he had his workshop, mainly Mini's in Bideford Devon.
Then, in 2007, I entered myself and my 1985 Mini Ritz into that summers Legendary Grand tour. From that first event, the sheer gravity of what the Children's hospice south west did hit me hard, It was moving and emotional and, at the same time, "Legendary"
I leave this video as a tribute to a dear friend and inspirational man that Terry was.
I send my heartfelt condolences to Linda, Terry's daughters, grandchildren, and extended family during this sad time.
