I bought the 3 man version of this tent for going to Leeds festival in August. Bit gutted that the nightfall selling point is a bit of a gimmick. Do you think it is worth returning the tent over this? I only bought it on saturday so am still within the return period. Ive heard of some people having issues with the zippers not being waterproof, have you had any issues with water getting in? Thanks for the video
I'll be transparent and totally honest with you. shortly after unpacking and erecting this tent for the first time on the August Bank holiday last year (ref this video posted below). I sat inside my new tent and zipped up the doors to instant disappointment of bright sunshine entering the tent. I instantly and politely called Millets customer service and informed them of the issue, and to my surprise, the gentleman sincerely apologised and offered me several options, one of which was an instant part refund directly to my bank. Reasoning for my choice was that I liked the overall tent design reference, the sleeping position, and the lack of overhead air vent, ( i didn't fully believe in a total blackout tent to start with ) and he advised myself that I could still receive the part refunded as a good will gesture and keep the tent if I was happy to do so or return it to the shop and get a total refund or alternative replacement. Reference the zip... when I woke up this Sunday morning gone. it was raining heavily. Yes, my porch was wet. The lower front piece of material, which, for this explanation, I'll call the threshold under the front door sags down which in turn makes the bottom of the zip track lower and the rain water pooled in the sag and entered the porch because there is no rigidity the hold up this piece and and my two front pegs loops were tight and correctly positioned. Under the trade description act, your tent is defective, not fit for purpose or falsely/ inaccurately advertised, so you are entitled to a full refund or replacement item / alternative item that matches its purchase price See video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--8mvvlRDGgE.htmlsi=nN5-cO6hz0zLZ6cq Kind regards Austin
Nothing I have used has failed me. You need to take into consideration the quality of build with regards to wiring and quality control. Also if it's mistreated you'll break it
Hi, great informative video. I’m a gardener, at some of my customer houses they have low pressure from the outside tap. Could I use this for boosting the water pressure externally whilst working at different houses with low pressure. Many thanks 🙂
If you have low water pressure, you'll most likely also have reduced flow, so in short, not a lot of water to have on demand. This pump and others similar to this work brilliantly if drawing water from an IBC, water tank, or water butt. With any stored water outside, you run the risk of algae, which may not be good for plant life or the pump.
The Claber 40 hose reel, it says that 3/4 hose can be fitted to the reel. Can the actual reel connectors be changed from a half inch fitting to a 3/4 fitting so that flow is not impacted?
Firstly, thank you for watching my video. Yes, you can use 3/4 hose. However, the reel connector and through pipe can not be changed, so you would have that 1/2 or 12.5mm restriction. It would of been nice if they added a secondary through pipe to accommodate for 3/4" / 19mm hose use. Hope that helps you. Do you mean generator? It's a widely available and extremely reliable Champion mighty atom suitcase generator. I purchased mine from a supplier of mine in Norwich called Gutter vacuum systems ltd. It's most likely available from Amazon, just generators and caravan camping suppliers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g5nN5dn2uGk.htmlsi=OVXzDg3-ifNol7nq
It can be inverted, and you can buy a mount on amazon to fit its proprietary half turn bayonet mount. I just used the the base that was included and attached a generic gopro 1/4 20 adapter
@King311___ I've never lost connection. However, I use a tp link extender in the home to create access points. It's a great camera for monitoring pets, elderly relatives, or general home monitoring Extremely well made and super quiet. The app and setup is easy to navigate and view
I was there back in the fifties when Mr Hepinstal was the head master, I think people worked at the silk factory at the time, there were rows of small house where the workers lived.
Please read the video description and view the two videos by my good friend Squeaky clean Dave, and learn about the UK window cleaner Jason Knight, who was tragically electrocuted Education & safety is paramount
I bought one of these to do light painting. Is one enough? I am torn between using the velcro on the bottom or finding a long O ring to go around the body of the mini 4 I have. I also could put one on an arm but it doesn't seem to want to point directly down. Thoughts?
Get a landing skid and velcro it to the underside as there's enough increased height off the ground when attached Or alternatively get some white 20mm elastic and sew it into a loop and sew the course side of velcro to it STARTRC Mini 4 Pro Landing Gear - Leg Foldable Extended Kit for DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo Drone Accessories amzn.eu/d/ir87lUf
@@AW-Services good ideas. have you tried the white elastic idea? How did it go around the body with the arms in the way? I think I could also just do the velcro thing on the bottom of the mini 4 and the light would just be the back landing pad. I'm not planning on doing too many light paintings so maybe the landing gear idea is best so the velcro just goes on that... And lastly, do you think it matters which way; horizontal or vertical mounting, would make any different with light painting from above a building? Next I'll have to figure out what sort of pattern might work!
You would obviously stretch the elastic over when it's folded in its stowed position. For light painting and great results, I've created flight paths on my mavic 3, and you can also use litchi. Being that the led is super bright on its full setting, having it face directly down gives the best effect. Then, your photography skills need to create the magic. Bulb mode in manual iso 100 F11 etc
@@AW-Services thx. I've done quite a bit of light painting with cars, and houses (flashlights) but am now going to try a drone. I just got the drone, so have no idea about "flight patches" or "litchi"... Will have to investigate. mini 4 pro.
Note: This video and its subject matter isn't something for long-term preppers or long-time food storage. All I am doing is making meals to take away for a weekend camp or a few days at the maximum. I am fully aware of food handling and food safety and know that salt is a crude form of food preservative, and precooked meats are safe for a short-term period. I've read the ingredients of many British army and wayfarer ration packs to recognise the methods they adopt for long-term food storage. However, that isn't something I'm giving away here. Think camping thing recreation and weekends

@@AW-Services just curious though, how long would these diy boil bags last outside of a fridge? Say if I wanted to do a 3-5 days backpacking trip. Thanks
Shelve life depends on many contributing factors 1, preparation 2, ingredients 3, cooking 4, sterilisation 5, packaging Ensure that cooked meals are prepared correctly and safety with knowledge of food hygiene and temperatures Ensure your meals contain sodium (salt) Sterilisation of packaging (rinse with hot water) package food when it's still hot Use a combination vacuum heat sealer or either of. Ensure packaging is air-tight and submerged in hot water after packaging. I'm personally not prepared to give a time frame as I've spent a great deal of time ensuring what I do works and is food safe, and what you do is at your own risk You must use Mylar bags, and they must be heat sealed. Zip lock bags are not to be used for this purpose of diy MRE All meals must be over 70 degrees when cooking and packaging to mitigate bacteria growth
@@AW-Services thanks I really appreciate the in depth info. When you say sterilise packaging in hot water do you mean just the packaging itself before loading the food in? And would putting the food in fresh hot absorb nasty micro plastics? Also what is the purpose of putting it in hot water all sealed up? Sorry for the bunch of questions I probably sound a tad daft I’ve just never used boil bags before and don’t fancy paying ridiculous prices. They don’t sell the beefeta bag anymore on Amazon but have found another Mylar substitute and will be purchasing the same heat sealer. Many thanks again
@thearchives8739 the bags come from a plastics factory, so regardless of their intended sale for food storage, you have no guarantee that they are hygienically clean. Rinse out the inside before adding your food. Prior to heat sealing, ensure the top of the bag is dry. Use kitchen roll and proceed to seal. I dunk my sealed bags into hot water after sealing to check for air leaks and just another means of ensuring the tip seal is clean also. It's also key to make sure you expel as much of the air inside the bag just before you seal as failure to do this will cause ballooning of the bag when boiling it when camping
Enjoyed watching you upgrade this sampler. I recently upgraded my emu esi-32 with an oled screen and a zuluscsi. Both upgrades made a huge difference, making the sampler much easier and faster to use. How’s your screen?
Thank you for your kind words and for watching my video. I'm glad you were able to find it. My screen is still the OEM Akai screen. I've never had any problems with it since new. Rich vibrant back light and no contrast issue like my S2800 has
It all depends on your intended use, really Domestic residential or commercial business use? You'll not get much in the way of power for that price bracket as well as reliability or robustness I have a small 6hp petrol machine that I brought only for cleaning my van but wouldn't use it for my commercial work as it's not got the pressure, volume of water at only 11lpm My current commercial, Watertek Honda13hp 21lpm, is the best, but costs thousands
You slept for a week non stop in this tent? Wow! Were you on tablets? 😂 Only pulling your leg. I'm going to buy one, only £38.00 now, and itll do me for weekend trips in the spring and summer. Nice video 👍
Thanks it’s the same on a Nissan primastar 23 plate swb mine took about 8 full turns and I just fitted new pads yesterday my van does carry a bit of weight , this was the best info on the web and I thank you for having the knowledge and time to share it this is why you tube was invented Thank you top man
I appreciate your kind words. I'm glad you were able to find the video and gain the correct information with ease. I noticed that when I purchased my van, Haynes didn't publish a manual, so many things were down to me to solve and locate. It's helped you, so hopefully, others will find it as well. Kind regards Austin
Thanks mate, I had trouble getting the bulb holder out, pressing the levers and trying to pull wasn't working so whilst pressing the levers I got a small slotted screwdriver just to ease it out and it worked fine.
Hi I have just ordered this today, it says it has 20m plus 10m extra, can you tell me if the extra is included on the reel? I also ordered the indoor tap connector. Do I need to cut a length from reel to attach from tap to the reel, is that what extra attachments are for? Never had a hose on reel before so and advice would be appreciated, thanks
The hose reel when I purchased it had one length of hose, a few connectors, and a spray nozzle. Nothing additional included. If it sounds as if you've purchased a newer edition or promotional item with included extras. With the majority or reels and hours for sale, they can often include a short 1or2 metre tap to reel hose
Loss of suction in the worst possible case is the vacuum motor brushes have burnt out. The vacuum switch on the handle is also a part that commonly fails, or the wiring spade connectors fall off the contacts with vibration. Another cause is a split and hard short black coiled hose from the squeegee bar to the base of the machine
Place your finger tip under the rear of the vacuum switch, and it should pull out of the panel in one piece. With the switch in its normal one position and the machine key switch on place, a key or screwdriver to bridge out the two contacts and the vacuum motor should start
@@AW-Services ye man all top DJ's . I am 48 and went to untold raves back in the day ie raindance, elevation, orange and labyrinth etc this is the best set ive ever heard. plus I used to work for a dance music distributor in the early to mid 90's and I'm glad I sold plenty of their stuff.
No, in short. For the use of a double air bed, you'd need a 3/4 man tent. This one with a simple camp bed will give just enough room to get changed, etc. A double air bed eats tent space Try the Cairns 4 Deluxe Nightfall or shadow 350
Hello, firstly, I'd recommend getting a good quality 12v battery charger that is capable of charging lead acid, AGM, and standard car batteries. Because many in todays society are unable to seller, the easier method would be to simply clip the aforementioned chargers' crocodile clips directly onto the battery when you need to charge it. Or the other option would be to use a soldered moisture resistant connector such as a 2 pole G16 aviation style connector that I believe I've mentioned in my video. Hope that helps. Kind regards Austin
@@AW-Services Yes, it was a real shock Austin. I'm still pegging along. 🤞Don't know how long for but making the most of life while I can. See you around, on the LGT.👍
I’ve got the same van, thanks for the tutorial, any chance your doing a DPF clean on this, ? I got check anti pollution System, suspect it’s Dpf as I do short journeys, wanted to go through a sensor under engine rather than APS which apparently is difficult to access on this. Thx.
