Love it I bought the first album I knew of in 72 I think now 2023 I've listened to Joy of Cooking for 50 years still love it. I heard the music in a head shop in Calgary Alberta/ It made me want to move to Berkley the sound still is awesome/ I moved to Canada's west coast/// looking forward to the new music
I am so glad that I stumbled upon this. These women were one of my favorite bands. Grew up in California Southern and Northern Roseville when I listened to the Joy of cooking learn to sing and harmonize with them and play the air congas. But in 73 dad took a transfer to Houston and no more joy of cooking. I was lucky enough at the age of 15 to see them play the Alhambra theater in Sacramento. You wouldn't believe it but all these many years I've been listening to old 8-track tape of castles and cassettes whenever I wanted to hear them. Now I can use my tablet but not as good as having vinyl. I'm 65 now and it gives me hope that maybe I can still sing too if she can and maybe even play the congas.
