Tesla fundamentals are strong, but many were disappointed with the lack of Cybertruck updates and the delay till the end of the year for production with no price or specs. As usual TSLA lost over $10 after hours.
Dave, why would Fed lower rates by the end of the year? Only if we go into crisis will they lower the rates. With house and stock market back at all time high, the wealth effect will drive new waves of inflation. The only way to resolve it is losses on job market, new residential and or commercial real estate crisis which is obvious at this point where most people can’t refinance their existing home or flat. Empty office buildings. The issue is lower rates here will mean even less money for cars. Long term bull on tesla but the market is drunk blind today

Another key take away: vehicle cost down more than USD 1000, while share of S&X did go up, while Austin and Berlin are still not ramped up. So expect margins to recover fast after another round of factory updates thus maximusing volumes. Great and FSD is not even ready.

I must admit last year you were bullish on Tesla when it was down but I thought your feeling and love for Tesla was like that of a mother towards her children. I probably should’ve bought then but my doubting Thomas got the best of me.of course I would be better off had I bought some. I also would have been better off to not have sold my Draft King holdings. But reality is what it is and you can’t hold every. However I’m not totally out to lunch. I did purchase a Starlink kit . I know it’s SpaceX but close enough hahaha 🤣! I’m connected!
The only surprise is the reaction of the share price. It seems long gone are the days when delivery numbers and earnings used to spark positive moves up in the $20, $30, $50 range.
I really like cogs dropped significantly and most of the revenue was just from more profitable cars. Also he mentions cybertruck margins may be a lot bigger than we expect because it’s so easy to make.
