Workers demand "rights"...and that's fine ....but why shouldn't companies have "rights" as well? Companies are the entity that are required how to not just stay in business but also to grow. "Workers" are responsible to show up and do specific tasks. They are NOT responsible to do anything else ...and they certainly are not directly responsible for the success of the company they work for. Times have changed significantly since unions arose. Workers no longer go "above and beyond" expectations. They are supposed to make 10 parts per hour and that's what they do ...and most importantly ....never more than 10 pcs. There is no "extra effort" from union workers as there is in non-union jobs. You can ask a non-union worker to make more than 10 pcs and help him/her to do so, but you cannot make the same request of a union worker. In either scenario, both people get paid no differently ...the extra time is paid ....but in a union, there are rules abound that need to be reviewed and agreed upon first. At Tesla, it can be competitive between workers ....something no union would ever allow. Anyone working extra hours still gets paid no different from a union. If someone doesn't want to work extra hours, their job may be in jeopardy when someone else WILL be willing to work extra hours ....and what is wrong with that? NOTHING! EVERY COMPANY is looking for people who WANT to work ....not people who are more interested in the "rights". If a person cannot "compete" with others, or simply does not want to compete with other workers, then they can look for a different task or quit and look for a job where a company does not care what workers do or whether workers show up or not .....but most certainly ....DON'T BLAME A COMPANY FOR EXPECTING WORKERS TO ACTUALLY WORK!!!! .

Most multi-billion dollar companies don't even provide their labor force with a living wage in this economy. You cannot expect workers to "go above and beyond" when they are underpaid in the first place and have to work multiple jobs day and night just to pay living expenses paycheck to paycheck while their employers pocket 99% of the revenue generated from their blood, sweat, and hard work. Wealthy corporate executives don't need your bootlicking pity. Labor unions stand for the Americans who do the actual work.

@@valoredramack9117 Blah blah blah. Tesla is not most company. Its factory workers are better compensated than UAW workers. So if you want to work under a union, go work for GM and Ford in Mexico. The alternative is to work you butt off with better pay for Tesla in Austin, TX. Your choice.

Amazing how this was a non-issue right up until the fireworks at Twitter. You people don't give a crap about workers, how much bread on their table have you provided in your entire lefty existence? My guess is none. We see exactly what you people are doing, attempting to shakedown and manipulate a company because the founder refuses to bend the knee to your marxist agenda.

Tesla must unionize. If they do not they will be exposed as antiworker..boycott those teslas. Workers deserve better pay amd working conditions. Current workers in superplant are treated as subhuman third world workers.

There’s a ton of people who want to work at Tesla. The employees know they can be replaced. Every employee does meaningful work for little pay. But Tesla doesn’t shy off from saying “don’t like it? Go somewhere else.” They hire young workers because they don’t complain or have a life to go to.

All I've seen from the union is them protect workers who sit on the clock most of the day and those same union people marching through the plant demanding more pay.

This is complete BS. Those workers were being laid off (like the ones in CA) due to automation because of Dojo. They sensed this coming and hurried to start union activities so they could file a lawsuit. It'll be thrown right of court.

$15 per hr for identifying object on video for educating AI....isn't hard at all. Actually looks pretty good. I would fire all and start over. Any middle-school graduate can do. F outta here

Workers do a lot more than that, and $15 an hour is not a living wage, anyone getting paid that low would need a second full-time job just to pay standard monthly bills and mortgage. And that $15 an hour is actually closer to $12 an hour when you account for the income taxes that comes out of their paycheck before it even reaches their bank account.

The employees should consider how the company is treating them. The union doesn't give a crap about you. They want the money and control over the wokers.
