Tesla Adaptive Headlights - release 2024.8.9 - compared to Pre Adaptive and BMW 

I got it today after two weeks of waiting 🎉😂

The Telas cast a much harder light while the BMW is a softer white light which illuminates objects with better color and detail. The Tesla kind of whites everything out.

40 secs of BMW.....With all in favour of BMW. But at least its better than the pre adaptive "flashing lightshow" of Tesla, although it would be hard to find anything worse on the market today so it doesn't say a lot really. I got a S3XY knob and just love the manual control it offers vs. Tesla's POS after the vision downgrade.

Are the BMW lights the laser lights?

Tesla is blowing my mind. An update which they could easily charge 1000Euros or more... THIS is why my next Tesla will also be a Tesla ;)

Tesla lights aren’t that appreciated by cyclists as they don’t always dip that reliably; some suspicion their driver assistance wants a lot of light. My older BMW (2013) had mechanical steering of the lights so as soon as you turned the wheel it would light up the direction. This was really good -and happened even on low beam. But it’s adaptive lighting wasn’t that good on dual carriageways (example, A34) where it wouldn’t dip for cars on the other lane -even though the drivers were above the barrier. Presumably that is because it only reacted to the lights, which were below the barrier. Really the cars need to use their knowledge of the road (dual carriageway, roundabout coming etc) to tune their lighting policy

Meeting a Tesla during nighttime is terrible. They’re simply blinding you compared to others. How can their headlights have been approved by the suthorities?

Bmw lights looks so dull and dirty compared to Tesla.
