Hi Adrian! I think the poles are affecting it getting closer to the curb. I could be wrong. At my house when I use Auto Parallel Park (APP) it gets close to the curb. It also is parking in front of another car that is on the street already. Leaves about 6 - 7" between wheel and curb. I do not want my car too close to the curb, then people will start saying, "oh Tesla APP curbed my wheels." Maybe next time do this demonstration on the street. I enjoyed this demonstration. Lets me know it will get close to but not hit things as long as it can see it.
As you have it demonstrated in this test, the Tesla Auto Parallel Park failed. "Good" is not enough, the criteria should only be pass or fail and it failed, period. Please don't caveat it as "good" if a major part of this demonstration failed. As it comes to driving, we need to raise our standards as it is safety concern (imagine if it stuck out into the driving lane). People should be more harsh on this "feature" failing, then being "good" in this aspect but not other. I know I wouldn't want to use this this is the level of accuracy I would get.
Go watch any recent video of people testing Autopark, (AI Drivr or Dirtytesla). In an actual parking space, it parks like a human would. It only parked far away from the curb because it could, in any actual parking space, it places itself out of the way of traffic. I don’t know if you are just dumb, or if you are purposefully saying that this system sucks because you hate tesla. This video is outdated anyways. It switches from drive and reverse a lot quicker now.
@@BadL_ I’m not a Tesla hater, I am just commenting on what was shown in this video as a failed in its parallel park attempt. Whether if it was old update or not, does not matter. I am commenting on the person take on THIS video and how it could be more critical than just say “good”. If u tell it to parallel park it should get close to the curb within reason and not park in the way it did because” it can”, that is idiotic. If you were to do this as a dmv test you would immediately fail. Is it wrong to have higher standards?. If this is not most up to date then it’s up to the creator to update this not me to be up to date with watching other video. don’t be too eager to be so butt hurt and be more objective to what the video showed us. This was recently uploaded, one would assume it most updated anyhow.
@@kinoz08 Holy shit dude accept you are wrong and move on. You literally cannot test this system in a parking space that doesn’t match the conditions of an actual parking spot. These are not higher standards, and you are refusing to see the flaw in your logic.
