May 21, 2011 was the beginning of judgement day on the world { you were warned }. As a retried RF test equipment engineer, I used to think about timing; thoroughly impressed with their network. But, there is One who designed time itself.... they have less than a decade to play with their toys. The biblical calendar of history has been known, published, and carefully studied for 50+ years. The expertise involved in designing that is far above anything these guys could even imagine. 13,000 plus years of history put together and orchestrated to the very day! The door to heaven was SHUT on the 17th day of the second month, 7000 years to the very day after the door to the ark in 4990BC (May, 21, 2011). Fear, and the pit, and the snare are upon thee O inhabitant of the earth. Isaiah 24;17 spoiler alert: 2033 = 'last day' curious? look up Ebiblefellowship Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also with laugh at your calamity, I will mock when your fear cometh; Proverbs 1; 24-26

Every public facing person at Tesla is an absolute genius. And they treat the public like actual adults! I was watching a Ford engineer in a video, and he explained how the new Ford Mach-E "drives like a Mustang." Tesla would never make such a vague statement; they always explain things fully, without trying to water it down and make it sound palatable to soccer moms. Consumers actually want to be treated like adults.

For me as an engineer and product designer, this was extremely inspiring. And it is a pleasure to see that this masterpiece has been created under the leadership of a team of such humble, open and competent people. Even if I, as a European, don't find the Cybertruck too significant as a product: what Tesla has achieved here in terms of design and technology goes far beyond the vehicle class - I would say far beyond the vehicle industry.
@Ritalie
@Ritalie 8 месяцев назад
I am glad that your comment is visible and not lost to the algorithms. I am finding the comments here just as interesting as the video. And your comment alludes to the fact that this goes well beyond the product--it's the process of Tesla being so transparent and generous. These engineers are absolutely wonderful and aren't trying to dumb down the things they say; they are treating the audience like adults. Tesla is one of the most generous corporations that has ever existed (giving away most of their trade secrets for free). This video will inspire millions of young people to want to study engineering.

They've learned from experience, that legacy OEMs literally aren't capable of doing what they're doing. I've heard a few analysts, like Sandy, describe the relationship between corporate structure, and what kind of products can be produced. In order for another OEM to even begin to copy this stuff, they will first have to close the corporate office and open a new one, and lay off or reassign every member of the design, engineering, marketing and executive staff.
@archigoel

This is just awesome! Ford sponsors this. Sandy was so freaked out he wasn’t gonna get a chance to show the innards for years. And Tesla threw him a bone. They didn’t give him a Cyber Truck to tear down. But they gave him a torn down Cyber Truck tour WITH the minds that designed it . And these guys man. These guys were thick as thieves. 😅 You can just sense the pride in their work. The joy they have at finally being able to share it. Their absolute confidence in what they’ve built and how they’ve built it. They were straight up gloating when presenting their work. 😂😂😂 And they deserve to. Tons of brilliance went into the design. HOW vehicles are made is going to forever change because of their work. As suppliers begin retooling, the entire market’s gonna have to shift. I have no doubt, as they retool S3XY to continue their relentless innovation, well see it begin to adopt many of these systems designed for Cyber Truck. The absolute efficiency they perform with. (Paraphrasing: “Since we have track mode already we started with that and gave Cyber Truck ‘Baja Mode’.) Rather than start from scratch because “model S is a car, not a truck. The same profile won’t work. They’re too different,” they started with the work they’d already done. It could’ve been a waste of time. But it wasn’t. Even if it had been though. The amount of time wasted to test it would be far less than the amount spent stating optimizations from scratch. Great product. Great video. Thanks Tesla Team. Thanks Munro Team.

This is also the first time that American engineers have been leading in automotive engineering since the 1960's. As it turns out, if American companies actually "allow" their engineers to design things properly, they can build amazing cars, as they did back in the 1950's and late 1960's.

Secrets are for those trying to get an edge not the undisputed leader. Doesnt even matter at this point if all of their data/research got leaked. By the time you manage to prototype, build, sell a product, their teams had another few years to keep on adding to the headstart. Making their older stuff look truly old in comparison.

This is actually unprecedented. Not just the engineering. But the process here of explaining how everything works. This is the first time in 75 years, where consumers are being treated like adults. Briggs and Stratton lawnmowers now refuse to tell you how much horsepower they have (they removed the HP labels from the engine and won't allow you to know what you're buying). Tesla is doing the opposite, revealing nearly everything, and not afraid of potential scrutiny. Young people will learn more from this video than they will in 10 years of public school.

This one was recorded first, before Sandy drove the car and before the Elon interview. Tesla said it was going to try out advertising, this is it, the leaders speaking to the masses through Sandy's channel, cybertruck will get a lot of sales and media articles through this video, and, the other OEMs get a kick up the butt from it, and they evolve their offerings which pushes Tesla's mission... Remember that is to accelerate the transition to EVs, not to be the dominant force in EV sales.
