Tesla is such an under rated band

That solo! One of the most melodic solos of the 80´s!

Hands down the best Tesla song ever. It was a instant classic when it was released in late summer of ‘89.

their song "What youGive" is phenomenal. Harder rocking. Modern Day Cowboy...even harder and awesome

Live acoustic is splendid! Frank Hannon doubles the solo, 1st 8 bars on acoustic, then he breaks the rules and changes guitars to shred on electric. Totally hot lead.

I saw Tesla when this album came out. At a great little venue. 30 years later and I've seen close to 1000 shows. That Tesla show still ranks in my top 10. Amazing musicians with boundless energy.

You need to watch them play this live at their Five Man Acoustical Jam and speaking of guitar duels, Comin' at You Live begins with their 2 guitarists playing/dueling. It is a fast song that ROCKS!!! They came out later with a slower version Truckin' so not talking about that one.

Regarding the intro guitar sound: I believe Ryan is thinking of Spanish guitar and Flamenco music, and Nick is referencing Medieval/Renaissance music where--in pre-guitar days--the stringed instrument used was the lute. You can really hear both of those styles in the opening. Sounds beautiful.

This was played on our high school cafeteria juke box everyday. I forgot it until i heard the chorus.

"Coming At You Live" is a banger they used as a show-opener. Funny enough I ended up seeing these guys 4 times back in the day, they were always openers for the band I went to see. They never really disappointed.

Since reacting, have any of you gone back and just listen to the song, enjoying the transitions, the changes. This song is a really good one, takes me back to the great early 90s.

If you want melt your face off then Modern Day Cowboy and Comin Atcha Live are the tunes, but that doesn't mean those are their best songs. Check out The Way It is and Paradise. SONG and Emotion was written for/about their friend Steve Clark, the guitarist from Def Leppard who died. Edison's Medicine is a heavy rocking banger about Thomas Edison. Personally I always Iiked this moody mid-tempo track from Mechanical Resonance called Changes. 5 man Acoustical Jam is a great live acoustic concert that's really cool and features a cover of the song Signs, which they had a hit with and we learned that most of their songs translate really well to acoustic.

Tesla was really good and such a good one from the era. This album is great. Jeff had a great voice and musicianship is great!

Making magic is what you are looking for if you want hard and fast especially if you like guitars. 3 guitarists. Was my favorite band during the 80s. Great Radio Controversy is their best album. Lady Luck, yesterday gone. Flight to nowhere. Heavens Trail. They are all good.

I'm pretty sure only two members have left. Tommy was fired back in the 90's I believe. And Troy left/retired a couple years ago. Also Frank said that the intro was inspired by Randy Rhoads "Dee". And on the studio version he laid down a few different tracks to it to give it that double guitar playing sound.
