IMO the first one should have been perfect. Look, 4 years delay to production, 20K extra for foundation series, promises of micron level precision - it should have been perfect

“Over time, the build quality gets better”. As you can now see it took approximately 12K vehicles for them to deliver vehicles w/no issues off the production line 🤔. I do hope the company betters both their first (001-5K) production practices, and QC methods, as consumers we expect and deserve (and are paying for) perfection. As Elon stated “microns not millimeters”. Also why is Tesla still charging 12K for FSD, when it has been orice dropped to 8K? 🤔, when CT customers do not even have the feature (and the rest of the fleet received a month free trial at that ☝🏼😲). FSD refunds and/or adjustments are in order IMO 🤔. Congratulations on the new CT, cheers to the many new roads ahead ✌🏼😎.

Congratulations. Can you try a trick with the air suspension? Raise it all the way then block up one corner at the Jack point. The lower the suspension, you might be able to change a flat without a jack.

How can I do that? Lol They've been working on mine for months. XD To be fair, every time they work on it, I get a loaner with free supercharging that I can drive however I want, as long as it's below 85mph, which can be pretty fun compared to how I normally drive as efficient as possible. Lol

The detailers at the service center probably waxed the stainless steel, and they applied tire shine to the tires. Your local auto parts store carry these products.

yes you missed it he said several times the first one he had was in the 2000 range and the new one is in the 12,000 range!

I feel your pain for the first production model. They always seem to have issues. My Tesla Model S was one of the first few they built when they first started producing the Model S. That thing was plagued with issues. I said I would never buy another Tesla after so many issues I had with it. My wife got a Model S years later and it was much improved. They seemed to have gotten all of the kinks out. Hope you’re able to enjoy your Tesla Cybertruck this time around.

The finish on your old truck is what your new truck will look like in a few weeks I’m afraid. That’s the only thing I worry about, heard the finish is problematic with fingerprints staying forever, but I hope they sell something to mitigate that problem. Also people complain about panels out of line, we’ll see

I don't think it's the result of customer service. Tesla is known for not taking care of customers. They replaced your truck because you took to social media and advised people not to buy a tesla unless they fix your issues. They had no choice but to replace your truck because they did not want to look bad especially towards an influencer. If that was a regular guy they would have not done anything. Don't get me wrong I like Tesla and I own a 2016 model x that has lots of problems but tesla will not fix for free. I reserve my cybertruck. Hope to get it in December. Good luck Lamar and enjoy your truck. You deserve it. Will follow you.

I might actually do the same. I have a 2023 Model S LR, HW4 and it had 8 service visits. Countless parts replaced. Still not 100%. I am basically giving up on the service.

Tesla fixed my issues with a windshield and both front upper control arms under warranty for $0 on my 2020 Model 3. My wife and I have ZERO social media presence because we think it's trash. You don't know what you're talking about!

These are made on assembly line, they all will have the issues, replacement will give the same issues, only more problems to fix. Jumping through hoops twice.

I am happy for you. I’m glad that Tesla exchanged it for you. I have to be honest, I was skeptical that they would that for you. I have owned many cars in the past and had similar issues. They wouldn’t have it. In other words, they were saying tough luck. The only thing I could do was sell it back to them and purchase a new one. Maybe they did because you have a platform. Who knows, but congrats.

So very glad that they made things right with you. The "Foundation" was one of the 1st things I noticed. Was wondering if it was even on the old one at first. For the build quality, that is something I hear a lot about with new Teslas when they come out. The panels aren't lining up and other issues. Later releases tend to be better quality. At least this is what I've heard. Have never had hands-on experience with Tesla myself. Will you be doing a wrap or anything to it before you put your name on it?

Just because the situation was, to him, made right… does not mean he didn’t go through all he did. Those videos will benefit the potential consumer, as Lamar said “if this is how they are treating me [an online presence], imagine how they’d treat you.” They made it right because of his public complaining. They will not make it right for those without a voice. End of story.
