The issue I have aside from charging stations and range, is the weather. We receives a lot of rain annually and I'm not sure if it can handle the amount of rain and lopak air we have. Plus the warranty doesn't cover water ingress due to heavy rain apparently. It was in the news a week ago.
great review. Tesla steering buttons can be configured to do various functions (aircon strength, temp etc etc) so I rarely have to fool around with the LCD whilst driving. Its a great drivers car and puts a lot of the more expensive cars to shame on the roads.
rear end looking fabulous, front is abit fake toyish, interior is pathetic, sunroof is irrelevant in MY. anyone whos adventurous with surplus money and patience wanting to try the latest tech, this is the car for you. Cant wait to read owner experience
its the other way around for me,waited for both models mentioned as above,and i pulled the trigger on mazda 3 liftback ignite edition..not a day that i woke up regretting that decision..Tesla M3 is just plain boring to me..its gonna be a few weeks of uuuhhhs and aaahhss..after that the overall driving experience is just meyh!cant wait for my mazda 3…
My 1st impression riding a last iteration of Model 3 as passenger.......an iPhone with steering wheel. Yup, it felt more like an appliance than a car, especially the centralised control via a single screen, and it silent nature. The interior emptiness doesn't help either. The car was so alien to me that I had to refuse driving it when offered by my colleague. Immediately felt at home after jumped straight into my old e90 from the Tesla. I'm used to it now, but still haven't driven it, neither tried to open his glove box 😂
Often one reason we buy an expensive sports car is for the thrill of speed....like we can outpace anything on the road. Not anymore.....with the Tesla. Why bother with all those Benz, BMW, etc. and pay through our noses. Just for the badge?
I read somewhere the battery cost around 20K, after the eight years warranty, maintenance it need oil for cooling the motor well yes the tyre are expensive because the demand not as rapid as the ICE car , anyway we'll see , for me let people like Bobby use the car for another five years in Malaysian environment as the climate have impacted on the battery 😊
@@achekholbeckal889If its 20k after 8 years then it is considered super cheap, a petrol car that does 0-100 in 4.4secs would cost you close to at least 50k just to get it right.
How does this compare to smart #1? While the smart is lower range less speakers smaller but its taller and does not really short change you it comes fully loaded too.
Few reasons how tesla could sell this so cheap 1. Tax free, mentioned already. 2. Giga casting. This need to learn and understand . 3. Get rid of car dealers and salesman to distribute.
It’s one of those car that you either love it or hate it. And there’s no point trying to convince or change anyone’s mind. Much like the iPhone when it was introduced , given that Tesla (official) is still very new to Malaysia. I love my model Y LR to bit and look forward check out the M3 when it gets here in Aus. Bobby you should try get the white interior for review because it adds such different feel to the car. The black is just dull.
Instead of becoming more convenience and simple for the masses, after watiching this i rather have tbe ' night rider' car as an EV than instead of a minimalist car that have a huge tablet stuck in the middle

Slide to engage drive which is stupid n vw gets all the flak for sliding a control? Such a big tablet n the speedometer is so small at top corner.! Not my cup of tea
i believe its because the people looking at buying the VW, is not looking to buy a Tesla at all. The people who buy a Tesla just do not fit into the category of "traditional" car buyer in the first place. I personally am not interested in Tesla and anything Elon Musk thinks is the way.@@bukitkatilmp
Yes it's hot. But the rear aircond is unlike any rear aircond I've experienced. It is extremely powerful. Cools down the rear faster than any car I've been in
This highland model 3 have beautiful exterior, great motor but sub par interior in the name of minimalistic which just an excuse for cost cutting measure. The sad thing is people buy-in the agenda and called this "minimalist" term as premium stuff. Tesla have great marketing to instill this mindset to customers.

Haiya as a car reviewer still care about how fast car can accelerate meh. Buying tesla is like buying crowd source data (i am a sw engineer), car quality is meh. Most of my friends in US already jump out of the tesla bandwagon, malaysia now is like US 5 years ago. electric car is always fast in acceleration not just tesla.
The stats seem to suggest otherwise. Tesla sales in the US is up over 40% and +120% in Europe in 2023 compared to 2022. Tesla is also joint first with Lexus in overall customer satisfaction among all vehicle owners, ICE or EV in the US. We in Malaysia see Tesla and think “luxury” but it is just a mainstream, middle of the road car in the US. M3 price is now below the median price of all cars in the US. The build quality reflects that, not a luxury car, just a below average priced car with average build quality.
@@nshon7 in addition this year their production numbers will be very very close to those of Mercedes and BMWs, for a 15-ish year old company with only 4 SKUs, I think they are doing better than not bad.
Bad build means it is flimsy and loose fitting. Of which the Tesla's are supremely well fitted now. Not luxurious means there are not a lot of leather clad surfaces or exotic materials or heavy metal milled parts or plenty of mixed and matched materials and surfaces to satisfy your sensation of touch. Which Tesla don't give a flying F about as it increases weight and cost. Don't mix both up.
This car G force are Terrible. How to use as day to day drive with family members onbord 😅 end up semua mabok and 🤮🤮🤮🤮 driving feel still have lot to improve .
