For maximum acceleration, you need to put the car into 'insane' mode, or navigate to a supercharger, so that the car heats the battery. For max power, the battery needs to be really hot, circa 55deg-59deg. Track mode does the opposite, it cools the battery as much as possible, to help keep the battery cool when running flat out for extended periods. If you use track mode for acceleration tests, you won't achieve the maximum discharge power from the battery, as it will be too cold.
