What I like about model S is the extra trunk space, leg room, air suspension makes it a comfortable ride, and general build makes it feel like a premium car but model 3 gets the job done. Especially the new one

M3p is better

0-60 is the same so idk about that

@@Murphys_Law9 far far faster after 50 mph , highway passing power puts it in the realm of 800 hp gas cars . M3p is quick to 50-60 then falls off . I own a stealth performance model 3. The moment you crack 60 the base s is so much faster it leaves the 3 for dead. It out accelerates the p100d 60-130 by multiple seconds and even has a faster 60-130 vS the taycan turbo s.

They both have so many different models and trims it just depends completely.

Model s plaid is the fastest. But model s and model 3 performance are 3.1 seconds

good points however you forgot to mention that the suspension on the Model 3 is horrendous which was a deal breaker for me. Need an air suspension option.

0-60 is close; however, there is actually a huge difference in highway acceleration after 60 mph between the current S LR and Tesla 3 perf!! Tesla LR 60-130 is in the upper 7 sec Tesla 3 perf 60-130 is 13 sec Tesla S Plaid 60-130 is 4.6-5 sec (confirmed with Dragy testing) per Dragy leaderboards. There are videos on RU-vid as well. I own a 22' S Plaid and used to own a Tesla M3P for 3 years. The S Plaid is heavy and big but does handle quite well for most day to day situations. Round steering wheel greatly helps. Braking isn't terrible at sane speeds, especially if they were properly burnished. There's also the now available track pack brakes which are world class.. I like you do prefer the 3 for around town and small maneuvers. If Tesla ever comes out with a Tesla 3 Plaid, I'll strongly consider it, even if its a little slower.

When we knew we wanted a Tesla, we were stuck between these two models! They are both high end performers. However, we wanted to know which one would be the best value for us plus provide high speed and storage. That’s why we made this video! To help people in our exact situation. We ended up getting both because when we choose the Model S first we fell in love and knew we wanted the Model 3 too! :)

I understand what you are saying. But for some of us they are good comparison candidates. I am thinking of trading in my 2022 MSLR for a 2022 M3P. Mainly because i like the smaller size of the M3 and that it's sound system is as good as MS. I do prefer the exterior and interior design of the MS! Yes, a 'first world' problem!

I originally really wanted the plaid but it’s out of budget. Trying to decide whether S within budget or model 3 performance way under budget since they both go the same speed in 0-60
