Tesla Model 3 Stuck in Deep Snow 

I learned my lesson with all season tires 🛞 during winter. Never again

All season tires are made for snow for the first 5k miles after that only good for rain

@@Jaynice20 no, that‘s not true. All Season tires are good for people who live in cities with winter services for the streets and who drive less kilometers per year. If you have as much snow as you can see in the video winter tires are the best because of its special profile they can generate grip even at that wheater conditions, especially on ice.

No this is why you don’t want a traction control that purposely gets you stuck like this

@@watchdogs295no. This is why you don’t buy a cheap model lol. With performance model you can disable and reroute how much power you want going to each motor/tire

Unfortunately, you might be wrong here. I have the Model 3 AWD (LR) (also with all season tires) and had the same issue last year, when I was in the "low" mountains (800 m above sea level) on a snowy day. But I didn't use the Slip Start feature, since I wasn't aware of it. At the end, the solution was, like in this video, to shovel the snow away.

This was recorded mid April 2022, this car had winter tires but I didn't expect snowstorm after switching back to all seasons to sell the car. Please consider checking out the model 3 videos in the cannel to learn more about the history of this model 3

It all depends on what make of all season tyres you put on.

You should go with awd or long range, I live in Norway and it’s nightsmare for RWD on icy hills with studless tires

Yes right now we have a lot of snow but this was filmed mid April of this year

Even an AWD Tesla with snow tires can get stuck. In this situation though I think AWD would have done the job. Winter tires most likely also would not have gotten stuck. Slip start does not really help imo, as the tires just spin and you dig yourself in. I usually only turn it on to do some drifting in the snow.

This comment, plus another site suggesting the snow pack in the wheel area must be dislodged to engage the wheels seems to match the problem I had with wheels that would not engage. Had this issue (in driveway with 4 inches of snow!) but drove over snowplow mound in street and think that packed the undercarriage and wheel wells. Digging out with shovel on all sides finally freed up the wheels to start. But wow, the normal forward and reverse to get tires moving did not happen. Those wheels were off duty.
