@fatwajim thank you for watching it! 😂🤣 Did you happen to see my message to you about the vehicle/Tesla chargers? I ran power at the shop for a 50amp charger but I'm not sure what to get. I need it to work on all electric vehicles. I guess I should probably search for a video and see what works best. Lazy... 🤔😁

Well…….I thought I submitted it. I included a couple of links but maybe RU-vid doesn’t allow that. I would recommend the Tesla wall connector with the J1772 handle. What I like about these is that if you do buy another wall connector in the future with the Tesla connector at the end, they can talk to each other and load share. For example, if you only had a 50 amp circuit, it will keep them from drawing too many amps and tripping your breaker. Another good charger, is the ChargePoint Homeflex. In either case, I would skip the plug-in option and go with a hardwire setup. A hardwire setup is ‘safer’ than. The plug in options. Your big-box store receptacles they sell aren’t robust enough to handle the constant amp draw that a charger has. They are made for appliances like a dryer that may only run for an hour or so.
@EncorePPFtint
@EncorePPFtint Год назад
Really great information! I'm going to hardwire it but didn't know about the drawbacks of the plug-in version. I'll look over those two tonight and order one of them. 👍🏻 The load sharing is a great feature!

I love that some minor mistakes were made but you showed how to fix them along the way. That’s so important for new installers to see what happens, and how it’s fixable. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm glad to hear that it is helpful to see the mistakes. They are easy to edit out but I don't want people to think everything always goes as planned! Some days kick your butt a bit. :) I appreciate you comment.

I’m 23 years old , Filipino, a professional PPF installer for almost 8 years now . I’m here now in the office , resting a little bit and taking some lunch, after this, I’ll continue the trackhawk that I’m doing. And the car is full of aftermarket parts, I need to do a lot of pre masking , customize the plotted pieces etc. My best mentor is my instinct, creativity (natural in our bloodline and culture who loves craftmanship, wood work, furnitures and arts 🇵🇭 ) also passion & Extraodinary consistent work. Great video man. I installed PPF for about 15 years and stopped for the last few years but I'm looking to get back in the game. I think I would have removed a bit of materiel where the backglass is and save it for smaller pieces. It makes it a bit easier to stretch also, just my 2 cents but you did an awesome job. Your video gave me flashbacks of lift lines 😅
@EncorePPFtint
@EncorePPFtint 6 месяцев назад
Yeah, there was a lot of material waisted. With this more difficult install I don't worry about the waste. But, I do make sure to save that extra material on other parts of the vehicle. I'm glad you pointed that out for people. It's important to keep that in mind. Those darn lift lines. I'm just chasing them around. Lol What are you doing now?
@andrewewen

@EncorePPFtint I moved out of the city in to the country, needed a change of pace, and started working for a logging company. So instead of having customers yell at me because I forgot a hair, I have moose and squirrels stare at me 😅 Seriously though I would like to start installing PPF again but where I live now, country folk are more laid back.

Yes they are. We live in a small (3500 population) town. We moved here from a city (over 300k population) when we started having kids. We love it but do have to commute to the shop (27 mins away) each day. How far out did you move?

@EncorePPFtint Well I can commute to the city we lived in, it's about 1200kms away😅 We even changed province (Canada) So We'll see if the people up in New Brunswick want PPF

@andrewewen So, it's only a couple mins away? 🤣 I think that comes out to about People have nice cars all over. So, you should be able to find some folks that want PPF. I found your channel by surfing PPF. I went to Xpel PPF school back in Nov 2018 but did not start doing PPF until Sep 2020. Since then I have been a one man crew learning on my own. Without tutorials like yours I would be a lot balder than I am. My passion is making equipment to better suit installs as well as my slip solutions. Good question: It's not made for the glass on a vehicle. The windshield wipers would scratch it right up, the doors couldn't roll up and down, or the material would peel off. Maybe the roof, but I'm not sure there would be any advantages to having ppf on a glass roof. 🤔 👍🏻

Steam is a great tool. I used to use it on every install. PPF has come a long way and contours so well now that I only use steam on really difficult pannels, or if I'm trying to get the film to contour to a very difficult recess on a bumper. Steam is a fantastic tool and still has its place during installs.
