Wow! We currently have 2 execs and a Model Y but are anticipating a 3 across situation next year similar to this. Thank you for putting this video together!
Are there any other carseat brands that you know of that are similar dimensions to the nuna? I currently have a model Y and am gonna be in a 3 across situation. 1 is forward facing and I will have 2 rear facing.
Yes. The infant seat is only 17 inches wide so it will work. I find the RX bases install better for me with the seat belt vs the original base but you could do either one. An RX base will work on any Pipa except the pipa urbn.
Thank you for this video!!!!! We have a new baby and trying to fit 3 across in a Y. What would you recommend for an infant, 5 year old and 8 year old. 8 year old would prefer not using the 5 point harness.
The infant I would do in an Evanflo Slim Revolve, 5 year old in a chicco myfit (provided you have them forward facing and not rear facing still) and 8 year old in Peg Perego Flex 120 if you want a high back booster. I am going to be making a video with these seats in the next week so when I post it I will be sure to tag you.
Also you could do an infant seat for the infant. All of those are 17 inches wide so they won't present an issue with width but I would say Chicco Keyfits and Clek Liings have in my opinion the easiest seat belt installations for non centered seats. So if you want an infant seat you could do either of those.
Hi! Thanks for your video. I have 2 kids now (2.5 and 5) and an infant on the way. I would be going two forward facing and one rear facing infant. (We have a uppa baby mesa for the infant, but i could use 3 execs instead). Do you think the two forward facing/one rear facing is possible and what would be the optimal configuration? Thanks so much!
So your Mesa is 17 inches wide so def can reuse that and that one can install very well with belt so I would keep the infant seat and use that for the new baby. If you are doing forward facing I might suggest looking at the Chicco Myfits as those buckle in very easily and are the same width as the Exec. They are cheaper as they are only forward facing. I think like $239 vs $750 for the Exec. Or you could do one Chicco myfit and one Exec as then the infant can eventually move into the exec rear facing when they outgrow the mesa and you could use the myfit then for the middle child and buy a booster for the oldest. Narrow Boosters are the Peg Flex 120 (OBSESSED I made a video about it) and then like little ones like the bubble bum. Hopefully this is helpful. If you want to buy all new by all means go ahead but you could achieve more longevity with the seats by going with combination seat (Chicco Myfit) for at least one of those choices. Thank you for watching and congrats on the new baby! Here is that myfit for you to see www.destinationbabykids.com/chicco-myfit-cleartex-harness-booster-car-seat-shadow
My current setup is a Clek Foonf and Liing in the 2 outboard seats, and I'm having a friend come visit with her Doona. Would It work to do the Liing w/seatbelt install on outboard seat, Foonf in the center, and Doona on the other outboard seat?
That would be workable. You will be able to belt the seats and fit all three without issue. Best of luck and if you get hung up on any aspect of it be sure to check the instructions. I would suggest you remind your friend to bring her doona instruction book just so if there are any questions you are covered :) Have fun!
I have a model y seven seater. can you fit one nuna exec, one nuna rave, and one uppa baby infant, all rear facing? have a 7 week old, 3.5 year old, 1.5 year old but very petite want rear facing as long as possible ? thanks so much its been challenging.
It might be possible but its going to be super tight with the Rava. The issue is that your spacing on the infant seat will have to be pretty off center for the carrier to drop down into the base. Your best bet is probably to position the infant carrier in the spot with the most width which iirc is behind the driver and scooting the base toward the door (seat belt installation not lower anchors) in order to give the carrier the space to drop in. And I would like to add this is just a guess. I am not promising or suggesting I know everything about installing but based on my recollection of how the buckle stocks sit I would put the the older kids behind the passenger and in the center purely based on how those buckle stocks sit.
I'm 6'2 with a rear facing Nuna Rava behind me. I have to sit a bit closer to the wheel than I would if it wasn't behind me but not by much. Overall I'm comfortable driving with this behind me. This is in a model Y.
If you had 2 of these rear facing and 1 forward facing, how would you arrange them? Or would it change depending on the type of car? (still asking about 3 across)
I would put the smallest rf in the center. One of the ff on the side so I could place the littest one in the center reaching over the ff seat that is on the side.
I am scary more there are missing parking sensors and radar in Tesla Y a 3 from Q3/2022 to now... Try to put small paper box(dog size :-) ) before or behind Tesla and start the car and go... Even my VW Touran 2018 catches the box and even breaks the car automatically, Tesla Y/3 none of reaction ..
