@Coop's Collectibles Awesome, always wanted to meet him. Have had the good fortune of meeting quite a few of the 90's bands over the ten years or so and they have all turned to out be really nice, It's a toss up between Mark Slaughter and Firehouse (started out talking to Bill Laverty who is a damn nice guy and then CJ and Perry joined in) for the nicest guys i have met..
Depends on who you ask, He has never been a mainstream guy so I think some would rather be less noticed if they have a choice, Incognito is not a bad thing 🔥 🐃
This was my dad’s favorite song, he would play it on repeat all night just talking and drinking with my siblings and I. Miss you dad till we meet again.
One of the great bands from the U.S., singing a tribute to one of the finest guitar players ever to come out of the U.K., Steamin' Stevie Clark, who I was fortunate enough to see live in Belfast a few years before his sad untimely death in 1991. Jeff Keith is one of the finest vocalists ever, his distinctive tones right up there with Ronnie James Dio, Plant, Tyler and the like.... brilliant song by a brilliant band about a guy who left us far too young....
Rodney McCain true story bro.tesla is one of the only band that rock like they did from day one.no saleout bullshit like so many other.you can tell no filler with these cats just straight up rock.👽
Think you're talking about the King's Hall gig. I'd tickets for it and went to a football match when the dates clashed. Never did get to see Clarke play live 😞
I saw TESLA open for for DLR (w/ Vai & Sheehan) at Lakeland Civic Center, Feb 1987 (4 yrs before this song released). This is such a great song! (for all the wrong reasons). RIP Screamin Steve!
Was at the homecoming show in Sac with Def Lep in the round- knew right away that would be 1 of THE best shows I'd ever see, holding true in 2018. Nor Cal rocks!
i remember buying mechanical resonance on vinyl when it was first released...there's something special about Tesla..the ignorant masses and men in suits havent caught on too much so they get to be left alone to just be themselves and play decent rock..and long may it continue..just a bit more in the UK if you please chaps! :-)
I've been playing since 85, so I think I'd be considered an expert witness in any court of law, and I can say without hesitation that I am blown away by his badassness. Some guys just have "it", and he's one of those guys.
I also saw them in Sacramento in 91, at Cal Expo with Van Halen, Sammy Hagar, it was an incredible show, Tesla rocked, a talented group! Watching this video takes me back, good times!
Saw them in an abandoned tugboat storage house converted to a bar. The Singer in my band had recently fallin from a tree while drinking beer and napping' pearallized from the waist down. He was tough, music helped him and me live, we kept him of course,we were brothers. Well* Jeff * being the cool dude that he is pulled us back to hang out while they warmed up and drank Hienekins for bout 30 min. .... Coolest guys ever ! On a side note Jeff warming up the pipes for a show, , dude is freakish how high his register is vocally . Fucking wow!!!!!! Great times, great band, great pussy, great life. Bye 90's....... ....
it is almost too beautilful how jeff just let the boys stand out front playing and shining on guitar on this song. one of the best written song ever. and when you add to what it is about it make me cry cause i was such a huge fan of steve clark's and def leppard REST IN PEACE and play up there in heaven with all the other great guitar players of music history
It's A Great Thing To See Them Make It Back And Stand throughout the years and and hope to see more of them they all play together as well as a team that makes a band that works together plays together wins gether and can stand the test of time
I saw Tesla in Sacramento in 1991 they were so awesome you could tell they were from Sacramento because the numerous times they returned to the stage to please their fans ! Thanks I'll never forget that show!
Most don't realize Steve's death was why no more hits from DL, he wrote most thos lyrics and music. Love the Steve licks in this. And yes, we can still hear him play. Wow, 31 years ago.
I'm an Artest living in the Bay Area/Central Valley in California. When I go out to my Studio, I put some Tesla on and paint. You guys rock and my all time favorite band. Keep the greatness coming. 💖
The guitar virtuosity of Frank Hannon cannot be overstated. He is every bit as good a player as any of the hair guitar gunslingers- Lynch, Demartini, etc. He's a killer.
mine too. funny to see that you type like me (no caps) to save time. thanks so much for this...tear up almost every time i hear it. all us Tesla fans (who actually get it) miss Steve so f'n much. wish i'd have been at this show. haven't seen them since spring of '01...one of the absolute best shows i've ever seen, period. was a small venue, and my ex-husband and i were center (standing) stage. so glad the're still tearing it up, as good as they've ever been...maybe even better. thx again! peace.
