Before Jello was a thing the word Jello didn't exist . Now all we need is an actual paint that changes from yellow to Green depending on what angle you're looking at it from . Grellow could become the number one paint , who knows 😂
Hell yes. I like how you guys are putting this series together with the little flash forward sneak peeks when you're starting the first step of something and are explaining how something will turn out.
I spent several years drilling CFRP on the 787 and we used a drill bit called a dreamer that made drilling holes with out the heat and blowout issues you can encounter with standard bits ,worth trying out .
Love the carbon floors. I've been wondering why you never see people replace sections of their chassis with carbon to save weight. Looks like you can bond it to steel just fine. So I guess it's almost completely a cost & experience thing.
Would probably be a good idea to make some holes in the flooring that stick outs into the engine bay if arent going to completley cover it. Water will settle there, would be a good ide to give it somewhere to go.
The comment came off wrong cause I sometimes lack tact & forget that it may not read as well as it sounds in my head. Love the content, the 2 strips of plywood didn't look comfortable & made me wonder if you ever considered developing a carbon fiber Street Bandito creeper?
Hey, what's the community have to do to get STEEL-IT on this project? Project is flying by, you guys are making it look easy, crushing it! By the way, any thoughts on trying out doing carbon wheels? Or is that a more engineered process?
I'm playing catch up on you videos and the build looks great....but please consider heavy aluminum plate below the batteries. THERMAL RUNAWAY IS NO JOKE! All it takes is a nail to puncture the floor and your car will burn so hot it will melt the tarmac.🔥 Hopefully you can get out of the car in 5 seconds or your toast too.🥵
Get you a sheet of blue foam insulation and cut it in half. Use that to lay on instead of the concrete. You will be happier. Even your future grandkids will be happier.
Can u please make an update on the full carbon 240z. I remember u were gonna make a wing for it last time and u wanted to use it for time attack besides that we are kinda left on a cliff hanger with what gonna come with that
The effort, engineering and the styling will be, but not the tech sadly. This reminds me of the tim Allen ev build. 😐 Would've been so cool 3-5 year's ago. Now it's older tech cell wise and motor wise.
Man, I am so stoked for this... Definitely my favourite RU-vid build this year! Loving how fast you guys are cranking out the videos too ❤ If I'm thinking about you've probably already thought about it; but what's the plan for the exposed edges of the foam-core floor? I'm guessing it's just some epoxy smooged around the edges to seal it up?
Tim @streetbandito can I get your honest opinion on how Lord fusor t23 adhesive would compare? I use it on the Indecent 997s we build here in the states and after someone has crashed into our shop car, can confirm that shit is strong. Stronger than I was expecting for the fiberglass panels we bond onto our cars. There's not much info on this stuff out in the market from a comparison perspective so would love to try and do that for our own benefit.
So your telling me that the small, maybe, 1/4 inch wide strips on each side of the flat piece is going to have enough of a bond to hold up the weight of multiple batteries?
Love this. Do you find it daunting to look at the car tore apart and demotivated by it? It’s something I struggle with even when I’m close to being done with my boosted rx8
You guys need a rotisserie. Floor work is only gonna last a few more years until the back starts aching. Just some advice from someone who didn't figure this out early on and suffers from it later. Eyes and your back. The most vital things.
3M spent millions of dollars developing that mixture tube you don't gotta squirt any extra before it comes out even if it's Valvoline brand etc they all copied it
