Tesla is entering the Indian market and the first model could be the Y electric SUV in 2024 itself. With the latest revision in import norms for upcoming car manufacturers, Tesla will be able to import 8000 units per year at jus 15% duties. The Tesla Y is the most popular e-SUV in the world and seems apt for our market here in India as well. Do note, the 2024 Tesla Y will compete with rivals like the BYD Seal, Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India.
