This philosophical outlook is evident in his major novels, where his protagonists are often portrayed as victims of fate, chance, and circumstance rather than masters of their own destinies. We can’t know anything, but we can be in a state where we can be aware of our ignorance.

ohh lord! i still remember me , the whole class even our professor crying reading the end. and it made me cry today too after listening the video. thankyou for the nerration maam. it is one of my most favorite novels and very close to my heart. Tess did not deserve this she was the purest soul ever.
