@@lae2640 lol I was just about to say the same damn thing. What the fuck does anyone have to be jealous of her for? World champion in Impact? Impact has barely any buzz right now and the only buzz they got right now is Tessa's controversy which may or may not help them. Nobody gives a fuck about Impact though. These fans are silly as hell and I say this as someone who is a Tessa fan
@@WillsonT011 My Sociology professor told the story that his mom is a hardcore racist white women, yet had a kid with a Mexican (his dad). She's still racist, it's the way some people are.
It's really weird that her defenders are forgetting that as pointed out she posted the tweet! She put herself in this mess. The problem is not everyone coming at Tessa. The problem is she opened her mouth and probably now needs a big glass of water to wash down her foot and some people will argue that the more angry she gets, them ore defensive she becomes it means she didn't do it and people are telling tales on her but the fact remains that there are just too many stories coming out to ignore it and look if it's one person, okay, they are looking for attention. Two? Sure. Okay but when you've got multiple people making the same statement and telling the same story you cannot ignore it and you cannot pretend it didn't happen. Clearly what Hulk Hogan went through has taught Tessa nothing.
It's a trigger word, but the point I believe isn't the racism, it's the bullying, which i'm sure she's done, she even admit that she has tortured herself trying to best physically and mentally in the ring. Being raised in the south doesn't help either as it's the territory of racism, but if she's getting dicked down by color, she couldn't be that far off as racist, especially if her ex is Prince Puma, a colored guy from NY. She has her taste in men. She most likely was in the heat in the moment, like Hulk Hogan, on cocaine.
@@TriplomatX Hogan was in his 50s when he made the comment. No excuses. When I'm angry at someone who happens to be another race/ethnicity, my thought process doesn't go to racial slurs. But hey, when it comes to racism we must be so forgiving.
Vongola 11th Boss hulk was talking about his daughter to someone he could trust, and without having any knowledge of being recorded. He admitted that he was trying to be an asshole, he was trying to antagonize in any way possible, he was pissed at his daughter.
Tessa backhandedly admitted it during the end of the event saying with a tearful voice "Nobody in this life is perfect, we're all human and it doesn't matter what you say about me..." I might be reading into it, but it seemed like a response to the social media backlash.
You talking about Tessa or her attackers? When it comes to Tessa, I never really got that kind of vibe from her at all. Then again I don't use social media so I probably only know about 1/3 of the story. Was she saying a lot of Girl Power stuff before this?
@@SirJoelsuf1 yeah I was talking about Tessa. She has been known to make these pro woman posts on her Twitter in the past and there have been an indie show where she talks up women's wrestling after I think Sabu said something criticizing women's wrestling late last year. I'm just stating that I have seen this behavior before by a lot of people in the past. Someone who gives off this holier than thou attitude on social media but ends up doing messed things to people in real life. According to all of the allegations, she doesn't seem like someone who practices what she preaches.
@@BIGARMADA1988 It was the Sandman. And now I'm hearing from you that this whole virtual signalling crap is the norm for Tessa. It's a little ironic at this point.
@@BIGARMADA1988 Ahh, right. Well yeah most of the Girl Power assholes tend to act like that. Both online and offline. And it isn't just Girl Power its anyone who thinks they are better than others because they are trying to make things right for their kind.
A glance at all of this on twitter was so disheartening, people liken it to cancel culture and outrage but it's like, someone spat in a persons face and called them the N word this isn't people getting mad at a myspace post from 2005 Really turned me off even keeping up with Impact if they're fine with this disgusting rat as their champion they can sit in obscurity with 7 viewers forever for all I care
Tessa Blanchard sort of address the accusations when Hard To Kill went off the air by saying, *"Nobody in this life is perfect"* so does it mean that it happen? Someone tell me if I'm overthinking this.
I really hope whatever went down with her she steps from the shadows and speaks on it. Got to take self accountability for the ways she made some of her peers and veterans feel. Society can be very forgiving if a person is fourthcoming and lays it all on the table. IMPACT has been making leaps and bounds in trying to improve but in how they handled this by not at least issuing a statement saying they were investigating this internally and would update folks when it's concluded...Lost a lot of respect for them. Tonight for me was the night I officially said goodbye to IMPACT. They fucked with AJ Styles, gave Matt Hardy a hard time with the BROKEN gimmick, continue having money issues, fucked over Killer Kross big time in what he was due and wanting a new deal or leaving the company, kicked NJPW off of AXS TV because they didn't wanna play with them, and now this.
You're wrong! Vince loves getting good PC publicity from the mainstream media and signing someone like Tessa wouldnt give him positive feedback. So dream on
Jazz would have pulled a New Jack on Tessa lol. I really wish Jazz took on more dudes in the late 90s/early 00s. She looked like she could kick any dude's ass, unlike Tessa haha.
What makes this worse is right after allegations came out, the owner of WOW (women of wrestling) told the roster to give a "no comment" to any questions asked. Word is she caused problems their too. But since they're airing on AXS tv I guess they'd rather keep those under the rug to keep their tv deal.
Tessa was always a well known asshole. Sad that such a beautiful and talented athlete has to be so big headed and ignorant. I will say that Allysin Kay defends people against racism and speaks up for what she believes in all the time but Chelsea and Priscilla were opportunists in this situation. Chelsea got called out a few weeks ago by a few fans for the Tessa inspired entrance before facing Charlotte on Raw..before then Tessa and Chelsea were interacting with one another on social media on the regular being nice to one another so...As far as Priscilla goes...Almost everyone was against her doing that tampon spot including Gail Kim. The rest were in support of Rosa but those two are opportunists. Tessa is no longer my favorite..Reyna Reyes it is! Hopefully Tessa doesn't rub off on her because they hang out and work together during WOW.
L AE not just that either it’s the kind of reply’s she got I was expecting. It’s very much like Meryl Streep’s Harvey Weinstein tweet she couldn’t have expected people to not know or remember what she’s said and done for decades
@@kaiwood7359 JBL may not be racist or spits at people, but the constant bullying of his co workers is was just as bad so no he doesn't get a pass imho.
If someone spits on you, I will contend that it is on. No matter if it's Paul Wight, Kurt Angle or Brock friggin' Lesnar. It sounds like Tessa should be lucky to be walking still.
Considering Tully is her father, who used to run with Ric Flair, who has been called a racist by many people, this doesnt shock me one bit that shes a racist
I still remember when Alberto Del Rio was their champ, and what a bad idea that was. Not sure if this is worse, but it sucks for all women that this is the woman they decided to go with. And for as long as they had Gail Kim and Awesome Kong, that in itself is shocking. Tessa seems to have the same problem another past Knockout did: inability to stay quiet and off social media. If all of this had happened AFTER she won the title, then I might be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. But for her to do this before makes me think she has a habit of acting before she thinks. Which I would guess is usually the case for spitting on anyone.
Such a same. She’s so talented, and beautiful. Well you reap what you sow. She needs to apologize to all the females she’s disrespecting and bullied, before it’s out of control
Wow I have to say as a black man and a fan of Tessa, it is fuckin shameful that this happened. Tessa needs to come right out and address this situation. If not then she will be hit with this and it may possibly stop her from signing with another company. I'm really disappointed in her. My wife is a casual fan and just got into Tessa. Hell I just bought her a t shirt of Tessa for Christmas. Like wtf
I think its funny that everyone talks about Tessa Blanchard made history, when Sexy Star, who got herself banned from wrestling for trying to injure Rosemary, herself became the first female world champion of Lucha Underground four years ago So can we at least clear up that Tessa is the second problematic female wrestler to become her company's world champion
There are 10+ people who had something bad to say about Tessa Blanchard over the course of her career and yet all these people are saying that they're lying. I believe that everyone is innocent until guilty, but when you have this many people with various stories about Tessa you start looking like an idiot. "All 10 of those people are lying about all of their stories, but this one person isn't". Wayyyy too suspicious. Big Swole, Rosa, Sienna, Priscilla, Chelsea, Terra Callaway, Shanna, Rebel/Tanea, Faye Jackson, the women/woman at Stardom, and whoever she pissed off at NXT.
In all seriousness how do you guys feel about a woman winning a world championship? I know it's wrestling and we are supposed to suspend our disbelief but bruh 🤦🏽♂️
I don't know if it's true or not. But there's a situation involving the Western Anime Localization industry with a guy called Vic Mignogna. Where multiple woman within the industry have come out against him. Yet none of what they have said has been proven and many of their claims have been outright disproven. The most egregious being that he molested a young fan, using a photo of him hugging the girl at a fanbooth at an Anime Convention as evidence The girl who is now an adult, told them to fuck off and that it didn't happen. The odds of this situation being the same as the Vic Mignogna situation are low. But I've definitely learned from the Vic Mignogna situation not to necessarily believe a story just because multiple people try to prop it up.
I agree with your statement. The thing is however, the Vic situation is totally different from Tessa, because Tessa started the whole mess with her tweet. In Vic's Case, Monica Rial and Funimation started all that mess. Besides, the fans plus fellow coworkers defended Vic, who was always known for being a sweetheart, compared to Tessa, who seems to have been known for having an ego problem.
If people are harping on the “timing” instead of the incident then that is a big issue right there. Also her speech after her match was insulting. She did not own up to it, she said “no one is perfect, we’re all human” despite the fact not everyone is a racist price of shit who bully’s people to prop your career. She tried to make herself the victim.
that could be saying some of the stories are true, but maybe some aren't true. there's two sides to every story, then there is the true usually somewhere in the middle.
I don't watch Impact or follow Tessa Blanchard but if the allegations are correct and she spat on this person and called them the n-word and people saw it happened, yet nobody said anything? Word didn't get to Meltzer or Keller? I mean we heard when Big Cass had an altercation backstage at a show a few months back and that bit of news was on wrestling channels. If she is a shit individual and trying to pull a fast one, then people should call her out on her bullshit.
Boots! Exactly! How come this is the first time we’re hearing about this? These are some heavy accusations and and I think that’s what Solomonster and others aren’t getting. We should have at least heard something especially from Meltzer(and this is coming from someone who hates him).
This is a more complex issue and if you cared to read what said people were saying, they were respecting La Rosa Negra's wish to keep it private. Also again, say they reported this to Meltzer at the time. Do you think the reaction would be different? "They're all going after her because she's getting buzz", etc. You wrestling nerds are so afraid of social issues you'll say anything to dismiss it.
stinkiiraven we’re not trying to dismiss it, if anything we’re taking this more serious thing y’all are. First off when have any wrestling news organization respected any wrestlers privacy? These are heavy accusations that should be taken seriously and I doubt that anyone especially Meltzer and all the other wrestling RU-vid channels would just not report on it for her privacy(Hell ain’t even heard of her before today).
stinkiiraven The problem with that is there’s always two sides to a story. That’s why it’s important to hear both sides, get rid of the bullshit, and come to the truth yourself. Like he said in the video, we won’t know the full story until Tessa tells her side. Full disclosure I’m not taking her side but I’m not just gonna hop on the Tessa hate train when I don’t have all the information.
Tessa Blanchard wanted women to support each other and she got her wish, but the stuff she did in the past came back to bite her in the ass. Tessa if you're gonna tell women to support each other, you should've been doing it yourself and none of this shit would've happened.
So...Does this mean she can wrestle either men or women while defending that title? Or only face men and make them look non credible by beating them? and She did do a post match speech fans posted the video of it!
i dont get how ppl dont want to be called racist but they defend racist actions from people. i dont care how good she looks, her wrestling ability, if she did spit in the girls face and call her the n word, there is no defense. She should be fired from impact and have to apologize over and over again for her actions. At the end of the day, most of her defenders dont even know her, and even if they do, they may have not known this side. maybe they have and they just let it slide.
As another comment says one of the things that stands out a lot besides the negative tweets are the lack of defenders and/or positive support from colleagues. Even some really crummy people usually have some people who back them up when people go after somebody. She seemed to have basically none. Sometimes what doesn’t get said can speak louder than what is said. A bunch of negativity being hurled says a lot but if there was a bunch of positives too then you can see the case of maybe it’s not true. But when you don’t have really much positive come out to combat the negative it says a lot for a person to not seem to have anybody backing them up. And the events that followed all of this showed that even if there isn’t racial issues that she clearly has attitude issues in her actions. How she handled impact and WOW were pretty revealing
BTW-Celebrities and everyday folks should learn this lesson: People will empathize if something negative comes out on Social Media and you say "I WAS WRONG! I'M SORRY! I'LL TRY NOT TO DO ANYTHING LIKE THIS AGAIN!" Is it really that complicated?
The incels and Chavanusts are out in full force rn....the way dudes are acting right now makes me ashamed ive been a wrestling fan since 1989. I saw the same crap when Kofi Outside the ring bs aside im happy impact didnt pussy out on this. Give her a decent run Although I do look at her differently now because of the allegations...and especially since she refuses to acknowledge her mistakes and apologize. . People have been wishing TNA Impact dead for the last 11 years or so. And anyone whos doing thst now is a FAKE fan. A true wrestling fan is happy for them. This was a good show. Great outcome. Give her a MEANINGFUL title run before she leaves Like i said personal issues and stuff like that aside ...shes a superstar and imo top 10 in the world man or woman ....My only concern is with her winning is that it renders the knockouts Championship pointless . And now it opens pandoras box..... Whats to stop Becky Lynch or shayna Baezler from saying i want a shot at the Universal or wwe Championship Or io Sharai wanting the NXT Championship Or britt baker wanting some of jericho.. . People are gonna be calling for it. Itll be interesting to see how its handled
@@timmylong833 Because she's obviously a rotten person if all those accusations are true. You don't bury people on your way to the top, you always need your peers to be successful in the business. It takes two to tango...
I went to WrestleMania 31 in 2015 because it was the only WrestleMania that ever came to my market. I was feeling a little nostalgic. And honestly, something like that is the best way to get the lapsed fan back into your product. Ever since, the majority of what I have followed has been through your podcast because...well, I'm not 8 anymore. And while the wrestling Community has always been toxic, I have finally seen enough of a reason to absolutely quit watching again. If Tessa Blanchard is the example of a hero that these corporations want to present to kids, then I don't need to support any of this. All these different promotions are going out of their ways these days to tell you how fake their show is. Bottom line, I don't think I can watch this s*** anymore. Even though I didn't start watching wrestling until 1994, I would rather go and watch an old RU-vid tape of the Bruiser and the Crusher. Thank you for doing what you do solomonster, but I think I'm out.
Who cares? Women shouldn't be given the world championship in any promotion. Who cares what she posted on Twitter or what she said in the past. Biggest joke here is Impact giving her that strap!
I remember years ago when she was coming up in NC, I knew people who interacted with her both professionally and socially within the local indie scene who told me constantly that she's just the worst person in the world to be around. It's odd because she seems to get along with most men in wrestling and has never been standoffish on any occasion where I've met her as a fan. I think the whole WrestleCade thing went to her head a bit this year, standing up against Sandman on behalf of the women at the top of the card and all of that. She talked herself into believing she was the women's locker room representative, when it's clear that plenty of people who've worked with her don't see it that way. Can people change? Yeah. Can they change in under three years? I think so, especially if they're in their early 20's and have been blessed with the experience of traveling around the world. It can lend perspective to where you truly stand and humbleyou. There were even members of the women's locker room in Impact sticking up for her, so maybe she has changed. Does that absolve her of past sins? No, especially when she's not willing to address them outright.
Hold up. . . The black wrestler was not willing to address the issue outright for three years, either. Seems like she was over it. And if she was hurt or offended, stop being a coward and confront the woman immediately. . .don't wait 3 years for someone ELSE to bring it up.
@@AewfulWrestling she kept quiet because she was afraid of being black balled. Tessa is a much bigger star than her so wrestling promoters will side with Tessa. Wrestling business has a shady history.
There's politics involved, look who Tessa's father is,and she's the first woman to win a man's world title, and you know Vince is gonna eventually put his world title on Charlotte....the 4 horsemen are the original kliq
The sad thing is she will be fine from people to this day defending Benoit, Cornette etc for racism, bullying or even murder this will sadly not change because some fans can’t look past this because they like their in ring work or promo skills remember wrestling fans once voted Vince Russo the worst person in wrestling history over Benoit (child murderer) gonzalez (Brodys murderer) and the countless others who have done horrendous things in their life. Apparently some poor booking decisions counter these things actually quite sad that tessa if she just lays low for a couple weeks will be fine
Nobody is fucking perfect. If everyone’s conversions or anything was recorded, would anyone have a job tomorrow?? Tessa has dirty laundry, but who doesn’t? It is what it fucking is.
there one thing about having great wrestling skills or great mic skills if you don't have a good repetition then its impossible for you to be a face of the company especially for Tessa
It's for the same reason people still support Stone Cold (domestic violence) and Hulk Hogan (racial slurs). This is worst to me as a wrestling fan because Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan happened in their personal lives, this happened INSIDE THE BUSINESS, and people who support her consider themselves wrestling fans?
She Did Made History at Hard to Kill. (Becoming the First Woman’s Wrestler to Win a World Championship) .... but This isn’t no Excuse for her Actions. Just wanted to put that out there.
Tessa could have actually came forward and said she was racist in her past life but she bettered herself now idk how much that statement could have hurt her but it probably would have put her in a better situation then she is now
Neither contesting or condemning, just saying the Abraham Lincoln analogy isn't the best comparison. Then again, I am reaching for one, and the best I got off the top of my head would be Jimmy Hoffa, that one is a lot harder to prove exactly what happened as we cannot name a single person who witnessed if he was ( most likely ) murdered and disposed of. It is an immense, several light years of a stretch but, it would not be impossible if Hoffa faked his death and moved to Papua New Guinea. But that was 1975, and Hoffa *might* have had enough money/means to do it. I don't reckon that someone like Lincoln could have faked it in 1865. I know this is all rather pointless and pedantic, but such is my life. I am pedantic itself, given form and thought. The only thing I can honestly say about Tessa Blanchard is: she rubs me the wrong way. It is a thing in life where, just a person's demeanor can make you not like them. She has a chronic case of what my Psych termed "Resting Bitch Face" She comes off a tad bit haughty, and not in a good pro wrestling heel way, but in a "no, she really is an unlikable, unpleasant person" way. I tend to trust what Ms. Kay said was true, but then again I am biased towards her, as she is from my home of Detroit... yes, I can be biased based solely on if someone is from Michigan, perhaps not fair, but it is what it is.
P.S. It's an "old school" thing that might not be well-thought-of today but, back at the chemical plant I worked at, if someone was being a dick, then at the least he/she would find themselves surrounded by their peers while they are in the locker room and told to straighten up. If that didn't get the message through, then the offender would end up getting an "elevator ride" That was a dying practice when I hired in, but I do know of two rides being meted-out during my time there. Why didn't the Ladies in the locker-room have a "talk" with her?? If it were up to me, I'd ask Awesome Kong to go have a chat with her. Who knows, it might have straightened her out and redeemed her.
Big swole is an instigator, nobody asked for her opinion she wasn't even there she basically throwing Tessa under the bus which Tessa just said no she didn't is not true so somebody's lying but there's a lot of attention seeking fame thirsty people it doesn't matter everybody's guilty
If this is real (and it ain't looking like it isn't), disappointing because I like her as a talent. If there I someone I would like to hear from about this it would be Richocett. They were dating before he signed to WWE NXT and of course he is black, sooooo....right? RIGHT?
She was a heel in 2017 it's just hard to get over something in this politically correct world now. That is if she did it or didn't I don't know why she would just do that outside of a wrestling gimmick but idk just wanted to mention that
This is one of the reasons I stay a fan and never became one of the “boys”...I would have laid the smack down on too many fake though guys and cursed out a lot of fake “women’s revolution” types.
The race part of this makes it hard to defend Tessa even if she didn't do it.... A sign of the days we live in. Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. As the guy said below, stay off twitter.
Idk the whole story but crazy that all these tweets are coming out. Tessa is supposed to be a Christian but if it's true then La Rosa Negra is beast for taking that when she shouldn't And all these ppl she bullied. I wonder how many wrestlers do bad stuff like this.
gman2015 I’ll put it this way: You don’t know Tessa Blanchard. The women speaking out about her do. So why do your thoughts as a fan of hers supersede the experience of the women that know her personally?
