D3athChick3n totally! This ya got to be one of my favorite songs by them in general. I love how it shows a lot of their musical elements in one song. Do you have a favorite song??
Juno is definitely #1 song on the album for me and also one of the top Tesseract songs. First 37 times I heard it I thought I would explode or implode or both at the same time... I still listen this song only in nuclear bunkers just to be sure.
Hey if you enjoy tesseract, Im an independent artist that is hugely inspired by them and would love to recieve some feedback from the metal community, my latest song is only two minutes long and ive linked it for you to check out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LXtvi8FjTm0.html
It's perfect songwriting, there's not a single false note in this song. 2:30 onwards is one of Tesseract's finest pieces of music and arguably in all of prog metal
Im 47, listen to the likes of Tool, Slipknot, 10 Years, Disturbed, Mastodon, Gojira etc etc and Tesseract, although I just started listening in 2023, have become maybe my favorite band. Music, lyrics and vocals are upper echelon. ✌️
This is my favorite song of 2018. I get goosebumps and chills every time it kicks in and they multiply each time that amazing breakdown hits- which just gets better and better each time it's repeated. This is that perfect middle ground between complexity and simplistic groove that a lot of Musicians strive for but never reach.
First time I saw this video I didn’t notice everything was filmed in slow motion, must’ve been tricky to play the song so fast but the results of this effect is epic!
I'm a prog drummer and listening to TesseracT's polyrhythms is enjoyable...but totally frustrating trying to figure out what's going on. It's a compelling combination of free-form ad-libbing but having a solid structure beneath it all. It's a totally unique drumming style. The rest of the music and songwriting is great too.
@cobycracker Matt Halpern and Periphery don't do nearly as many polymetric and polyrhythmic as TesseracT. Especially after P1. But I think Jay definitely has a unique style of drumming.
Follow the crash. Even during the crazy part. It goes into a triplet feel - it's like a "setup" for the rest of the song's tempo-change, it's just the bass and guitar parts doesn't make it sound that way. The crash is the quarter note.
Sometimes I wonder how I'm always so late to the party. I'm late for court, I'm late for my own funeral already. Either way, I'm glad I finally decided to click on one of the thousands of TesseracT suggestions that RU-vid has thrown at me.
@@doomsday7308 Short for progressive metal. A blend of the heavy guitar sounds of metal, complex compositional structures, and odd time signatures. TesseracT is a prog metal band. There's also Queensryche and Dream Theater, the latter of which is well known for it's odd time signatures.
I always listen to this as soon as I wake up. While taking a dump. While having breakfast. While going to score some pot. While smoking some pot. While high af. Before going to bed. While going to bed. And in my dreams
@@danielleanderson6371 thanks. i figured it was something like that. i'm relatively familiar with the style with which tesseract has been composing their music since....2006, i think ( sheesh, time flies ). but anyway, as a standalone song, i like how this opens.
Here's the lyrics, not the Google one, that's wrong) All the silhouettes of passers by The sound of streets and familiar cries Will vanish into the illusion No serenity and never compromise There’s no dignity as you fraternize With your delusions, so set me free Take all you need and I'll be waiting Together we’re jaded And now with enervated Wings ablaze I'm burning The wreckage of my life I nosedive to the furnace Set fire to the stars at night They got me this far The judgement now begins I'm bleeding from the inside Vanishing into thin air My body hits the floor Much slower than before Crisis, man overboard Emergency abort I watch them dancing All, the fireflies of war gather All the damage that’s been done, paid for Won’t you reveal yourself to me? As I rise above the deep Won’t you reveal yourself to me? Ooh All the fireflies above gather All the damage that’s been done, paid for Now won’t you save yourself for me? Won’t you save yourself for me? Oh
Can somebody explain how they understood these lyrics, I would love to hear another perspective because I guess I'm just not creative enough to create one on my own. Also since it is named Juno, do you think it is somehow related to the satelite Juno, given there are some out of space/ sun/planets/stars references in the song. Thank youuu
Lyrics: All the silhouettes that pass us by The sound of shrieks and familiar cries Will vanish into the illusion No serenity, never compromise There's no dignity as you fraternize With your delusions So set me free, take all you need And I will wait Together we're jaded And now we're renovated Wings of flames are burning the wreckage of my life At last I've terrified us, set fire to the stars at night They can't be this far, the judgement now begins A being from the inside Vanishing into thin air My body hits the floor I'm smaller than before Crisis lit up above [?] Emergency report [?] I watch them dancing Oh, the fireflies at war gather Oh, the damage that's been done, paid for Won't you reveal yourself to me? As I rise above the deep Won't you reveal yourself to me? Oh Oh, the fireflies above gather Oh, the damage that's been done, paid for Now won't you save yourself for me? Won't you save yourself for me? Oh
Oh my... I love every "come to brazil" guy/girl on the internet! Such perseverance, such passion for music... one day you'll have every band aiming to play in your country, I wish you so, nobody can claim you don't deserve it.
Wow. Just wow... When I performed a google search for an explanation of polymeter today, I didn’t expect that I would come across a band that would have me thinking “where the figgity fuck has this been all my life?”
Sorry for not getting here sooner Tesseract, literally had no idea you guys existed! Up there with Architects, Kill Switch, Our Last Night, and Of Mice&Men (Austin era) for me! And beautiful guitar work~
This band is my mother loving soul istg.. Could be BS lyrics intended to be cryptic and vague but I hella relate to the whole vibe. Please keep making music! 😩💕
The opening part popped in my head once and I couldn't figure out where I'd heard it before, and I'm so happy I finally figured it out after sifting through my Spotify playlists. This is such a great song!

Came here after listening to the in-studio version of Concealing Fate 1-6, and you can really hear how their sound and talents have matured over the years. Such a talented bunch of musicians! Excited for what the future brings for these guys
