ET’s Melicia Johnson spoke with Tessica Brown following the operation performed by Dr. Obeng to get the Gorilla Glue out of her hair. Tessica opened up about the procedure, the healing process and what’s next for her. She also reveals what she plans to do with the money she raised on GoFundMe.

Yes yes only a black physician could understand the emotional impact this mistake could of had on this lady. Needless to say eventually the medical impact this was going to have on her. I am a licensed cosmetologist and she will eventually begin to demonstrate infections and a whole host of things thank God she was saved from. Hair is a living organ and it needs to breath. Can we just appreciate the generosity of the surgeon and the kindness of the interviewer for a sec? I’m glad Tessica Brown got the help she needed and I hope the damage isn’t permanent, you go girl! Btw textured hair is beautiful, I wish I had that. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

I'm glad that She did this video interview. I am glad to she was able to get help. I really felt her from start to finish. She got me when she said that she was going to thank even the ones who bashed her. She said cause we don't know what she feel inside, and that she good and that what don't kill us only make us stronger, Amen to that

God is using her to let black women know that they don't need to appologize for their natural hair and natural look. Black ladies you do not have to fake everything. You already have all of the beautfiful features that everyone else wants including your natural hair. Learn what your hair likes and needs. Take care of it. Grow it out!!! Be the best

I hope she was able to get in contact with everyone trying to help her with her scalp and new hair, now that the doctor was able to relieve her of this situation. So happy for her that the doctor reached out and out of his own free will was able to help. Wish her the best. ♥️

We do, I mistakenly used contact lens cleaner to rinse my contacts and burned both my eyes had to be rushed to emergency thankfully there was no damage.

How can you curse what God has blessed........talk about her if you want, but God sent her a kind surgeon, a hairdresser from the stars, $21,000 dollars in two weeks, and then didn't let her hair fall out. We better recognize who He loves and who loves him. A wonderful ending.

I love that she said she's not gonna do anymore relaxers and start going natural. She made a horrible mistake. She's learned her lesson.
