Thanks for your videos testing all the different slugs and pellets. In your testing, what have you found is the most accurate combination so far in .22 What barrel is best (standard stx or heavy liner) are you using a carbon sleeve or the orings? What slugs found most consistent (make, model and size .217 .218?) and what what fps is optimal? I have experimented I lot with my M3 sniper but only have the standard liner, am thinking of trying the slug liner.

Hi, thank you , I really appreciate it. I think the Heavy liner 1:18 performs better than standard 1:24 with both pellets/slugs. I use carbon barrel sleeve in all my barrels, and i also make sure the liner lock bolt is not overtightened. Also make sure the liner is indexed correctly. With std 1:24 liner i had great results with the H&N 25gr .217 and ZAN 25.5 .217 up to 150m. For now my best pick is the Wildman slug 27 (965fps) and 30gr (950fps) that works great with the Heavy liner 1:18 at 200+ meters. The ZAN also works great up to 150 meters, over 150m i noticed some instability problems. I am not a fan of super high velocities, keep the speed down and you will notice better groups and less wind drift due to better stability on projectile. Also tune and test for the actual distance you will shoot at. There will be slightly different tunes at 150 and 200m.

@@jsairgunner4053 Thank you for this info, it will really help. I need to get some wildman slugs in 27 & 30g to test! I have been using standard liner (700mm) with 30g h&n slug hp .217 @960fps which I got best results from, I do have a carbon sleeve but hadn’t fitted it due to fear of making it worse! If I disassemble, I will be sure not to over tighten the locking nut. Not sure whether to try that first or bite the bullet and get a slug liner and try! Do you have a dedicated video of your best set up/accuracy for the .22 slugs, I see you are testing the .25 calibre now.

Sure, give it a try with the carbon barrel sleeve. But i highly recommend the heavy liner if you going for long range shooting. I have a few videos on channel testing the Wildman 27 and 30gr. The liner now shoots even better after a couple of 1000 rounds thru it, and with that the tune also will constantly change. Yes, i recently received my .25 slug liner that i'm started to do some testing on. Unfortunately the winter has arrived here in northern part of Sweden so there will be less opportunities to do testing.

@@jsairgunner4053 I watched the 27 and 30g test videos, impressive at that range! Eager to try for myself! Hopefully you get a few days that you can get out and test. Have you noticed anything in accuracy difference between cold and warmer weather, obviously testing on still days where possible. The air density must have an effect on slug trajectory

Winter clothes and thick gloves makes things a bit harder :) But no, i have not notice some big difference in accuracy.
